With all the main news above that squad list, I didn't notice this underneath it until I just had another look. I was vaguely aware of the first two but had never heard of the third one.
With the ManCs having been caught cheating, football history just had to be rewritten. For the 2018/19 FA Cup, guess who replaced them in the final - and guess who won... https://www.football365.com/news/liverpool-manchester-united-benefit-manchester-city-stripped-titles
Maybe depends on their fitness . Cathcart didn’t seem that keen on coaching when finishing going by comments made in the match program but minds can be changed . Thing is we say get rid of them like with Foster and Deeney then the replacements are often no better or worse !
Cathcart would want a 2 year deal here or anywhere. Gosling may be offered something if we stay down. With Manaj going, is there any summer signing left? What poor recruitment last summer! Indeed since 2018 we have not signed what the squad required but I'm happier with the direction taken this January.
Some people really do hate our players don’t they . https://wfcforums.com/index.php?threads/tom-cleverley.52244/page-13#post-3214702 I mean not sure Cleverley has done much wrong to warrant such words. I certainly don’t think he has just been happy to sit around for 4 years collecting his many . Been a bit injury prone at times but do feel the anger and almost hate towards some is OTT. No doubt they will be slagging off whoever replaces these guy when they don’t perform like Messi. Already seen Kone get stick.
They seem to have an obsession with thinking anyone over about 28-30 is past it and must be consigned to the rubbish tip. I have to say if the players read what is personally written about them wouldn’t blame them if they didn’t feel much of a connection to the fans . Sure they expect criticism and probably accept it but being called a “parasite“ rather extreme. That last comment or two is well beyond a constructive criticism of a player - eg. “I don’t think he has a role to play at his age” would be perfectly acceptable. Unfortunately our spell in the top flight seems to have brought out the worse in some and now they are very aggressive in their anger and emotion towards the club , team and probably worse other fans .
I really dont think it was ever as bad as this ..was it..? Or is it just Social Media? Some people really think they have the right to abuse at every turn. The other aspect is expectation we now have a lot of supporters who expect nothing less than success.... and will put the boot in on anyone they choose... even for one mistake etc etc...
A quick glance through the pages almost convinces me that they really can't be genuine - that they're just trying to 'out-banter' each other. The forum could be renamed The Ministry for Silly Posts'.
I watched our new players against Reading to see what the club could see in them. One was quick and nimble, and didn't stop running, while the other looked calm and collected at the back, as well as scoring a goal. Araújo didn't get much service from mid-field, and Davis didn't look comfortable playing there, but we really are still missing players through injury. Two positives to discuss which I would much rather do, than this constant everything is wrong, nothing is right attitude.
Dear me. I thought the Neanderthals writing to the Wobby were bad enough, but some of this stuff is terrible. My instinct is to fine out where these numpties work and ask for their career assessments to be made public so we can all have a go. But I realise that is just as bad. I am saddened. TC has been a good solid honest servant of the club and deserves much better than this cr*p. If the players who are treated in this way took it seriously we wouldn't have a tream ,let alone a squad. However, I would add that anyone who admires Marlon King should do a bit of research.
I’d like to think they are new fans who maybe just cannot handle being in the Premier league and not playing the big boys each week. I mean after all anyone who has been a supporter before then would have seen much worse periods and players at the club ! If this is them when we are 5th in the 2nd division lords knows what their attitude would be should we dip back into “mediocrity “ Probably never go to a game or watch I guess - some potentially do that already .
We are and have been a top 30 club since 1999- 2000 season and on and off since 1982 Every day we spend in the Premier League is a day on a sandy beach with the sun shining and should be enjoyed as such, and every time we beat or thrash a so called top club is a delicious dinner with Champagne on a beach as the sun sets in the background So far the ONLY top club we have not put firmly back in their toy box is Man City, we need get back as soon as to put that right before they get sanctioned to extinction, apart from that we have a Stadium that at one time we could only dream off and a team full of individual talent that need the right combination and formation to send us home happy after most games
Is this a fair article? The Pozzos act quickly and demand results pretty much straight away (as do many owners these days) so the fans will follow. https://hewasrubbish.wordpress.com/...rd-culture-started-to-become-the-fan-culture/ Again we will hardly be alone in this. I notice Huddersfield are on their 3rd manager of the season and quite frankly remember when we played them in December noticing how quickly the Huddersfield fans had got on the back of the fairly new second one at the time.
