Because our manager refuses to play half of them. He won’t even play our best central defender even though he has been at the club since the summer.
Obviously another Utd goal would be great as Leeds won’t get anything out of the game, but to be 2 up at halftime and lose could also have a huge impact on confidence for them
Yeah I can’t be bothered to actually check if it’s right or not but it seemed incredibly low and if we won twice then that means it is probably bollocks
From the BBC football gossip column. "Leeds United have been turned down by Rayo Vallecano's Spanish coach Andoni Iraola, 40, to replace sacked boss Jesse Marsch as the Premier League side face further frustration in their attempts to appoint a new manager. (Onda Cero, via Express)" Identifying a replacement for Jones is one thing, attracting him (or her) to the club is another.
Harder to grab someone from a decent job. There’s good managers that are free out there. Watch them go and get Gallardo now…
We are already 3 points adrift, and if we lose against wolves ….I don’t fancy our chances especially with away games at Chelsea and Leeds next.
Leeds aren't that good. Wolves and Leicester are two huge home games that we have now. Need at least 4 points from them. Chelsea is a free hit. 3 points isn't really being adrift.
Leeds got a good point away at Utd last night (albeit being 2 up), and if NJ keeps picking Bedders over DCC and keep playing Ely all the time then I can’t see past a wolves win.
4 points from safety, effectively 5 with our GD. If we lose to Wolves then everybody bar Leeds, Everton and Bournemouth will be out of reach IMO (can see Leicester and West Ham picking up enough points to stay clear of us). Doesn't look good in that scenario.
Every team has the bottle to sack their manager. He had been there over a year. They could have sacked him after a few months, for all the results he got them, but they didn't. NJ is unlikely to stay here as long as a year.
Rather funny... "Leeds United’s ‘preferred’ managerial candidate Andoni Iraola has reportedly told Rayo Vallecano he is ‘desperate to work in the Premier League". Football 365 "A delegation from Leeds has returned empty-handed from Madrid after failing to persuade the Rayo Vallecano head coach , Andoni Iraola, to exchange Spain for West Yorkshire." The Guardian
I hope the Saints players were watching the Leeds game as they would have seen a team giving it their all. Aggressive in the pressing and tackling, throwing bodies in the way to block shots, scored a good first goal and got a little lucky with the second, but I don’t begrudge them that because their commitment to the cause was superb. They may have dropped 2 points from a winning position (does anyone else remember those days when we used to do that pretty much every week? - We’ve solved that problem by not scoring first and rarely getting ahead in league games.) but Leeds should take heart and confidence from this performance. It was the type of performance I would like to see from us.
