Firstly, apologies for not just putting this in Holystones thread, but its a slightly different point, plus I just wanted to post my shiny image. Yes, I know, getting like Tash...

Right, I ran the BBC predictor for the next three Premiership fixtures for the current top 8 (Norwich follow on but are two points behind Villa). The assumptions I've made are as follows:

All games finish 3-0 (why not!).
    Newcastle lose all three games.
Teams below us win all games (exception being Spurs beat Villa, someone had to win).

With that in mind, this is what the league table looks like after the first round of December fixtures:

Still in 7th, 3 points beind Arsenal, 4 points up on Villa (or one if they beat Spurs), with our next 4 games being against Norwich, Swansea, West Brom and Bolton. We may not have played the top 3 (other than us) yet, but we've only played one promoted team away (the team that beat Chelsea...). Start of December, 7th place, 25 points, with a favourable run of fixtures ahead? I've have bitten your hand off in August!

Bear in mind also this is the absolutely worst case scenario. We've got United, City and Chelsea, but Liverpool play City and Chelsea in the same period which I've assumed they'll win, and Villa play Man Utd. Plus we might actually not lose all three...

Happy days, bring on the tests!

Decent Worse Case scenario for us i'm sure. Ain't no walk in the park for the teams below us to win all their 3 games either!

A good way of looking at it, however I can't see it becoming as bad as that. Nice to see we wouldn't be out of sight though.

I'm expecting to continue our good run and consolidate what we've got rather than drop away.

Neither do I. Its a worst case scenario. A worst case scenario that is still favourable to any predictions we made at the start of the season.

  6. I know mate, just saying I don't think this will come to reality.

I think Spurs and Chelsea will over take us and Liverpool will be near us.

I'm going to quote you on this one, but 'read the thread'. Its unlikely to come out like this for several reasons (us winning, L'Pool, Villa Spurs not winning all theres) but this is the absolute worst we can be.

Yes. I thought it'd be easier for you to read an excerpt.

It's looking good in terms of that being the worst it can get.

In terms of our actual games, it will be a miracle if we get anything out of City away. There is a slim chance we could sneak a point at Old Trafford (although highly unlikely) and I would be disappointed to not get a point at home to Chelsea and a win is possible. Imagine if we got three points out of these games, that would be amazing, 28 points at the beginning of December <cheers>

Tash talks the talk but unfortunately he can't hear or understand what other people say.

With regards to the OP, I can see us losing all 3 games (maybe getting a point at best) but to still be top 7 afterwards will be great. As a lot of you have said the real test is how we bounce back after. Swansea are no pushover and we'll do well to get a result there, but are more than capable if we play to our best.

  18. Not really, just AB is being a miserable **** as usual and I don't think he's worth a proper response <ok>

Tash has a convenient memory, he remembers what he wants to but forgets some of the things he should remember.

The time he posted an article about his mother being ill and people were wanting it put on GC and he begged me not to put it there, but he still hasn't learned anything and still just opens his stupid mouth without thinking.
