Better in last 20 mins but ineffective as we don't have players who know how to play in the central attacking positions.

I beg to differ, have a look at the January transfer thread full of people claiming we don’t need a striker after failing to get one in. Not through trying mind, just pointing out that we are hopeless in the final third most of the time without a proper striker on the pitch.

I was on that thread and thats not the case. What folk said is we shouldnt just sign anyone. No1 said they were haooy that we didnt sign a striker. No point saying it every single week.

We are playing a very good PL team and we grew into the game. We started off shockingly but grew into it.

Just need a proper striker mate, someone who knows where he should be and takes defenders with him. When Diallo took the piss out of Kurzawa and went to the byline it summed up the half, absolutely nobody anywhere near him to hit so he just chipped the ball back across the box with no hope whatsoever.

Yeah lots have said we shouldn't just take an option for the sake of it.

I disagree. We absolutely should. Because we have literally no option. Especially on a 4 month deal only.

I know a few free transfers that are of national league standard but they are big so lets sign them

It's not even our lack of striker that has been the biggest problem. Neil got run ragged for half an hour and both of our full backs have been completely outclassed so far.

Hopefully we can take a chance second half, but if we see a repeat of the first half, we'll concede 2 or 3.

Doesn't have to be that far down the pyramid but there are options there. I defo feel we are a bit rigid not to take them.

I know a few that are really bad apples as well so maybe we sign them as they are strikers

A national league striker will be more effective as a 9 for us than Ba is mate. Have to say I agree with Prehab, I think too many people are naive to how important having a proper striker on the pitch is. We aren’t Man City. It’s not even about scoring, we’ve got talent behind the striker who can do that - but if there’s no striker making runs and stretching the defence it’s not going to happen.

It's only 1-0. Can't see Sunderland playing so poorly (especially in midfield) in the second half, just lots of niggly little errors which Fulhams didn't really capitalise upon. One quick moment and the game could be back in the balance.

Worked well last time I guess. Guess the model can never be adjusted, ever. Screw points. As long as the model is in place.
