not a great goal in a spectacular sense but chapman's goal at bournemouth to seal promotion will always be my favourite leeds goal.
If you can find the full move on Youtube, listen to the commentary, because Mark Wright starts it off, and the ball is passed across and up the pitch at speed. Yet, when the cross comes in from Mark Dennis, Wright is there at the back post to nod the ball back across the goalmouth, and Danny Wallace smashes the ball in. Every time I see it, I wonder how Wright has made up the ground so fast.
Indeed, doesn't Wright start the move by nicking it off Ian Rush too? This is probably the "Best" one I've seen, yet still the 1984 Steve Moran cup goal at Fratton hits the top of my list of "favourites". Goals 3 to 100 are probably found on a MLT video
Blimey, your memory's good FLT. And about memories, I've finally remembered [sorry it took so long] one of my favourite goals that doesn't involve a Saints player or ex-Saints player. Mr Ibrahimovic scores. I've always been able to watch it again and again, and the defenders never get near him, and it never palls. Brilliant individual goal:
Classic! I celebrated like a maniac when that went in! Famous celebration from Gazza aswell, Sheringham squirting the water bottle in his mouth and all that! It's sad really, i've grown not to expect that much passion from the England players anymore.
