The independent commission into Manchester City's alleged rule breaches will be chaired by an Arsenal member.

Murray Rosen KC will oversee the private and confidential proceedings which could result in the reigning Premier League champions being hit with a points deduction or even expulsion from the competition.

As head of the Premier League's Judicial Panel, Rosen will select the individuals to sit alongside him on the commission to consider City's alleged rule breaches.

"Arsenal member" doesn't make sense. Member of what? He's an Arsenal fan but has no professional connection to the club. His job has nothing to do with the club he supports. Unless he's unscrupulous and allows it to colour his judgement.

 

Maybe he has a few shares, or is a member of one of their restaurants.

I think I've worked it out. The Arsenal official website has a section called Arsenal Members which appears to mean Season Ticket holders. As you were.

 

Lfc have a members se tonight as well, not necessarily seasonbticker but pay for ability to enter draw for buying tickets etc.

Back in the 90's, "member" was often used as a slang expression for Penis. Using deductive reasoning, I would therefore imagine an Arsenal Member would be a Penis shaped like a cannon, or a Penis tattooed with the wood "Arsenal" on it.

Seriously though every top team has weird unexpected results during a season (every season). it's when they have 2 or 3 of these in a short space of time that you start to doubt them.
