Not really. Manchester played a massive part in the industrial revolution and the textile industry and it is the club, Manchester United, it's famous for and not necessarily the ground. It has a famous music scene also, not just a famous old nightclub. It's bloody marvelous.
Best: Luss village on Loch Lomond shore is a beautiful wee place, when the sun is out. In saying that, most places in Scotland are beautiful when the sun is out, I was in Clydebank on Sunday at the Crazy Golf with the weans, and even that looked amazing in the sun.
OK then except for Rhyl and Blaenau.Rhyl is only a ****hole because of the Scouse and Manc pissheads, druggies and dole scroungers
I remember last time this thread popped up and the poll indicated Manchester was the biggest ****hole by a large margin. Don't remember this being 'most famous city' thread anyway
Best - Norwich by miles, Bath is alright, sheffield is nice Worst - London (and all surrounding ****holes i.e. watford, reading etc), birmingham, lesta, ipswich, everywhere in the North (apart from york and sheffield), everywhere in midlands, glasgow
Bollocks. Most people outside the UK and over/under a certain age won't even know what the Hacienda was. Manchester is an international city, and not just because of United. The industrial revolution, which spread around the whole world, started here.
Damp, ugly and smelly? I suppose you might have a point with some of the suburbs on the eastern side.
