Gotta respect the board staying at the end, Answering some more questions. I don't agree with there Jones stance one bit, But they obviously care.

 

From that summary I thought “when we feel it’s time to change, we will” was an interesting thing for Rasmus to say. It’s not what we want to hear, but not what Jones would want to hear either. Hardly a ringing endorsement.

That’s if it’s what he said word for word, though.

 

One thing I noticed tonight was how gutless Semmens and more notably steele looked.

Semmens is coming across as a guy who doesn't have things his way anymore.

Ankersen is, in that case, a far bigger problem than Jones.

 

Fair point tbh, Just come across that way.

 

I suspect his communications with Adam Blackmore have been/are continuing. They got on well and Adam mentioned - a while ago - that Martin is willing to front up and talk but has had his wings clipped. Then all of a sudden a week later, there was an interview with Martin... but only jointly with Rasmus.

I agree with this completely.

I think it’s mental, bordering on insanity. I think they are wasting precious time (and points) on NJ. I don’t think he is the man to turn it around based on the last couple of months.

But I also weirdly respect their conviction.

I’m really, really worried by Ankersen. Diet Cortese. In another life he’d be a “life coach”.

 

All I got from this was they've basically given NJ license to do things " his way" for X amount of time.

Cant see us beating wolves and unlikely to get anything from Chelsea away, would that be "enough" for them , to sling him out the door?

In a way NJ ticks the box of what you want for a saints manager.

I genuinely think he is trying to give 100%. Passionate during games, kicks and heads every ball, seems he is working really hard and thrown himself in to the role.

But is just out of his depth and comes across as a twat
