We've just had an email that suggested Whitts will be eligible to play for Wales in 2 months time.

    What do you think?

Really? Well if he's eligible then yes, why not? If Vinnie Jones can then Whitts is a shoe-in lol

    Would he want to though?

Nope, not interested, why risk Whitts being injured in pretty pointless Welsh games........and why bring him to the attention of hovering vultures.............he's rubbish, just leave him where he is <ok>

he'd be a useful squad player, in centre mid at the moment we have ramsey, allen, collison, crofts and ledley. anyway he doesnt have any connection to wales apart from playing here for 5 years or so, at least people like collison for example have a welsh parent at least <ok>

First of all let me say that I posted this because I saw it on Twitter.

It seems that because Whitts signed for Cardif in Jan 2007 he will be able to play for Wales because he would have lived in Wales for 5 years.

Do I agree ? No not really, though he would not be the 1st one.

Going against the grain here but if England don't want him, why shouldn't he get a taste of international football if he aquires the qualifications through residence?

The present Welsh midfield isn't bad (Swamp you forgot Vaughan) when all are fit but he would certainly be a good addition to the mix, especially in his current form.

Have I not seen players from "southern climates" repesenting Poland and ex-USSR states? At least Nuneaton is only about 50 miles from the Welsh border. You never know, his great grannie might have received a late night weekend visitor from Newtown or somewhere who "left a deposit".
