Everyone is missed, but it's the nature of the beast with forums that you often have an individual who grates most. Some call out for nick, but what about the very harsh treatment he gave individuals like muttley... Would you want him banned for that? No. But bet your last £10 that another 50% would. In this case- rules have been broken but it didn't need a thread to tell me and AH that.
If that is the case why not enforce the rules then, brb has said you can merge the threads into one and I'm sure most people would be happy. As the rules are being broken time after time it's obviously being done deliberately.
Ok you have done, just caught up, apologies. I think these sorts of threads are important as they reflect the views of most people and they're only brought up when the rules are repeatedly deliberately broken. Just doing nothing could give the impression people are not bothered by the board being 'littered' when they are.
Threads can be merged when on my computer, bit more tricky on my phone, so I sometimes need people's patience with this. RE broken rules.. You'll hear from us soon enough
JA is like the Irish Question. You think you resolve it only to find that it reappears in a different form presenting the same problems or the agreement was only one that one party adhered to, and it won't be JA. I have been moaned at because I said it would always go back to the same JA show and, sure enough it has. He won't change and I believe hasn't since the 90's, despite what he says. IT WILL EVER BE THUS I AM AFRAID.
So, 1 non Charlton related thread moaning about JA is not ok, and 2 twaddle threads from JA is fine ??!!
Did we say it was fine? We agreed a rule was broken, and I just added that we didn't need another JA topic posted for us to be made aware. AH has stated his reasons for not being around as much, I've mentioned I'm temporarily hampered and stuck to a phone- so please be a bit patient whilst we get hold of one another to discuss punishment. No decisions will be made by a mass thread, but by rules being broken
Chrissy,I wasnt having a pop at you or AHLL at all, just getting a bit bemused by peoples perceptions. After all, this is something that the majority of posters have already said annoys them - but some people dont seem to want to hear that (and thats not aimed at you or AHLL). Talking about Nick - i must admit i didnt have a major problem with him - at least he was eloquent and could spell ! A2C in the end i couldnt care less about, because my brain had switched off trying to translate - and therefore i skimmed his posts - but neither of them appeared to have the volume of moans that this guy has had - and i certainly wasnt moaning to the Mods to get them outed. A change of tack here (and tone maybe). I thought i'd start up a new thread - but thought that some might take exception ! Working in Portsmouth, obviously with a lot of Pompey fans, who are not the happiest right now, but my Pompey mate asked me what Fratton Park backwards is... KRAP NOTT ARF. He said it summed up the quality of the football being dished up. Quite a few ex-Addicks there at moment - Varney,Halford,Hermann and Primus in the background too.
I think you have to enforce the rules, eg keep to one thread and don't post multiple threads (mainly trivial about anyone and everyone being linked to Charlton). It they are broken more than once then remove the poster otherwise it keeps on happening again and again and annoys more and more people. I think it's being done deliberately to antogonise posters but I would've got rid ages ago.
I will never criticise the mods on here because i believe they do a cracking job. However, it is abundantly clear that maintaining Ackworths presence on here is creating you both no end of work and aggro. Time and time and time again he has been left in no uncertain terms of the conduct that is expected of him. Does he listen? Does he b******s...!! The fella is either a WUM, a bit special or a complete moron. Whatever category he falls into is irrelevant. The continued disregard he displays for the rules is becoming somewhat tiresome, and is having a very damaging effect on this board. If you repeatedly tweak the tail of a lion, sooner or later you're going to get bitten. Whilst i salute your patience and perseverance in dealing with this buffoon, surely even you pair have a point at which you'll say 'that's it no more'. Sooner or later actions must surely speak louder than words!!
If it's a choice between backing AckAck or backing a bunch of playground bullies I'll stand up for AckAck, I wouldn't like to mod a board he posted on myself for all the abuse people give him, but he is Charlton through and through, is not a wind-up merchant and hasn't been hostile to any other poster on here, and the internet isn't just for people with Mensa IQs and perfect spelling, it's for everyone, so stop sucking broccoli, start loving your fellow man, not like that I'm not gay lol, and let the Mods here continue setting the parameters for AckAck, no offence but there's too many ribbon wavers on here, no offence.
I find your comments quite obnoxious as well as they border on mocking people because of their sexual orientation and then always finishing with I'm not gay, no offence - it's a bit like that I'm not racist but ... comment. Posters are fully within their rights to point out the boundaries and rules for posting, other posters don't seem to create threads to clutter the board based on non information or gossip. I don't see any abuse or bullying in the comments made by other posters on this thread, anger yes, irritation yes, but not abuse or bullying. Neither do they create 3 or 4 threads a day as part of a self promotion exercise. It doesn't matter whether someone is Charlton through or through or not, if there are board rules either follow them or face the consequences. In the same way that someone making homophobic or racist comments at matches who is Charlton through and through doesn't make that right either. The reason this thread was created if you looked at the board yesterday was that 2 extra ones were added whereas he was asked and he 'agreed' to post all his material on his 'own' thread which posters can then read if they choose to without the board being cluttered up - hence the anger and thread that rules set aren't being followed and I still think it's being done deliberately to annoy other posters who follow the rules, and it seems more and more of us are being annoyed.

Superchrissy my made it clear that the Ackworth articles thread is for 'all' your articles. Not everyone wants to read separate threads with information which is just fiction and not fact anyway.
SuperChrissy, when you do get round to merging the threads, please lump this one in the same Ackworth thread. Threads about threads is one of the reasons Ackworth's threads annoy me (he takes gossip straight from other forums and presents them as 'my sources tell me'), and this one is no exception. JA is nowhere near as malicious as either a2c or NG. I find it difficult to believe that people spent years over there with that crap going on every day, but a couple of (completely pointless) threads forced them out of here. Much and all as I agree that he should stick to his thread.
No SuperChrissy don't. This thread was created as there were 2 separate threads yesterday which as you rightly pointed out on a previous occasion should've been posted under the Ackworth articles after all the poster himself suggested that's where all his material would go. As the poster doesn't follow the rules set, his threads will continue to annoy and irritate and people like Stu, myself and others are right to point it out.
Huh? Once the JA threads are merged into one, what point does this one serve? Might as well merge it into the same thread As for pointing it out, you could have always sent a private message to AllHell or SuperChrissy. What's done is done, but once the threads are merged in together, I don't see what point this one serves
