So we are stuck with the yank plank then and going down. Never mind just think of the money rolling in from player sales in the summer.
Won't be any. Most have instalments still due so it'll be like giving bake your car when you can't afford it and let someone else take over the repayments
As my No'1 choice Dyche is both no longer available and also working his tried and tested formula at a close relegation rival it's difficult to know who would be the best choice to replace Marche. Of course there are loads of unattainable top managers out there; Sampaoli Poch Enrique But they are not coming to Leeds. That leaves either someone unknown (to most of us anyway) from Europe or take a gamble on a young Championship manager, that's if you could prise them away; Coberan Kompany Carrick Again tough to see any of them leaving their current clubs. So I'm left hoping that Chelsea decide to replace Potter and maybe the stars could align but if would all have happen during the next couple of weeks. Chances are though Potter would need a break to take stock and then come back for next season. So no answer then really.
Well after 12 months of Marsch how do the board feel about sacking Bielsa now? How’s that working out guys. I really question Victor Orta on this because I am of the opinion Orta gets it right more often than not. However I dont understand how he could follow Marsch for 2 years and see him as the ideal replacement for Bielsa down the line. His results and stats in USA to be ignored as not of the same quality as premier league. Austria great stats and results yes and a nice 50%+ win ratio but in Germany he fell to 30% ratio so a big drop off in results in a much better league. Alarm bells should have been ringing there because at Leipzig he had a great squad with lots of internationals. So he comes to Leeds because our squad would find it simple to adapt as Marschball was supposed to be similar to Bielsaball and instead of man marking mark an area and hunt in packs. Well that turned out to be wrong and it seems Marsch has changed his tactics countless times and even his own ex players are lost. Marsch accused Bielsa of overtraining the players and then it turns out we have more players injured in training than Bielsa ever did. Bielsa’s injuries were mainly impact injuries in matches, whereas Marsch tends to have muscle injuries in training. Forget his mouth as all yanks talk a good game, but he may be a nice guy but he isn’t suited to this club or this squad. He isnt tactically astute and has blinkers on and will predetermine subs and at specific times rather than use his subs when they can cause maximum damage and doing it with a tactical change rather than just swap like for like to give someone some minutes.
Fairy tale time Pochettino for me, but about as much chance as hammering scum in our next two fixtures
If we'd have kept Bielsa it's more than likely we would have gone down. Then the club would have still appointed Marsch in the summer so we would be in the Championship with Marsch in charge.
True dat, at least now if the appropriate action is taken, we can still retain our PL status. Just to add to the above, i personally now don't think Marsche would have gotten us promoted. Sadly it's just a mess, only way out i can now see is a quality coach appointment, which 100% of the fans and board will unite behind him as Marsche had split the fan's 50/50 from the start.
Interesting seems i am not the only one hoping it will be Pochettino. this is the Leeds live survey so far amongst fans
That's a bit harsh Ristac, what have the people from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Brittany, Cornwall and most importantly the Isle of Man, ever done to you, that you wouldn't want one of them as head coach at our club I should report you to one of our Mods for being racist
Carlos for me as I think he’d come. Poch would be unattainable and is he actually any good? Obviously did well with Spurs but missed out on winning the league one season with PSG and they’re the Harlem globetrotters of the French league.
I don’t get the support for Ange Postecoglou he has experience in Australia, Japan and now Celtic, his assistant is Harry Kewell why would anyone welcome the pair to ER It stinks of disaster, the PL would catch out Postecoglou just as it did Steve G
I think the Post thing comes from European games where his Celtic side played gleeful attacking football that gets plaudits from everyone whilst conceding heavily against the good sides. Heroic defeat. Very leedsy.
Good morning all and a lot brighter than yesterday Corberon WHY OH WHY, purely 2nd fiddle to Bielsa and we know how tough Bielsa found the prem, Last thing we need is another coach with no experience of the rigours of the prem could see that as a real disaster from day one. Poch on the other hand knows the prem inside out, and was recognised by Bielsa himself as one of the top coaches, also has managed some of the best in europe. to me would be the ideal fit if we could tempt him, i could see real progression quite quickly.
Well he took a poor Southampton to 7th in the prem and was snapped up by Spurs. Didnt have big cash but took Spurs to 2nd in the premier league and lost in the final of the Champions League, so not bad for a nobody. He also made Spurs millions in transfer fees but wasn’t given funds to replace some of his players so walked. He usually only entertains Champions League quality teams so not holding out much hope
