You never turn on your own, especially away from home. We're all frustrated with things at the moment but we all want success for the club. Difference of opinion is fine, even a bit of arguing is fine but at the end of the day we're all on the same side.
Just a sad day for me. I know Jesse will get hammered, I know Forest will be bigged up, I know if we lose back to back against them we will be in a world of trouble but, we were, by a country mile, the better team today Oh well, if we go down, we will cane it next year
Don’t think their keeper had a save to make in second half. Thought we got worse with each sub. Don’t forget re next season, if relegated, almost none of current squad will be with us so hard to predict where we’d finish
The most disappointing thing for me was that with 20/25 mins to go we simply had to throw the kitchen sink at them. Making substitutions like for like and meakly plodding on until the inevitable final whistle just made my heart sink. Where was the desire, the fire and the passion to get something from the game that we've seen previously ? Marsche needs to stop shouting at referees and get his players fired up because that wasn't good enough.
We seemed to just accept defeat with 10 minutes left. We kept firing more bodies forward but at some point you've got to get it in the box and hope for a kind bounce or something. We were just content to pass it around on the half way line. A very timid end.
I’m getting slightly concerned with young Gnonto who’s just a bit too confrontational, good to have a bit of Klichness but he’s just edging the wrong side of the line
We needed Joffy for those last 10 mins. Not because he's some brilliant striker but because he's got fire in his belly and would have put himself about giving Rutter the support up top he desperately needed. Absolutely crazy decision to send him out on loan with a crocked striker (Rodrigo) and the other 2 (Bamby & Rutter) not fit to do 90 mins. When I said this earlier in the week you all thought it was bollocks but it's not bollocks now is it.
Just a further point on the Joffy thing. Amazing last gasp winner against Norwich last season and then that sensational bit of skill which sat Lewis Dunk on his arse for the stoppage time equaliser against Brighton. Why would you want to take that out of your squad when you're in the doo doo again ?
Gnonto should be kicking off, he was kicked to **** today and got nothing. I think it's cos he's built like a brick **** house. He just doesn't get the free kicks he deserves, it was the same against Ashley Young at Villa.
such a humble easy going guy off the pitch … I reckon there’s maybe a bit of sms about it - probably been picked on for being the small guy all his life and has learned to stand up for himself. It’s an unbelievably competitive gig to make it as a pro footballer so that streak has probably served him well. Personally I love that he gives it some but I agree he’s walking the line with it.
