I wish we’d lost to Liverpool now, we get a fluke of a win after being under the cosh all game, we then muster a winner in injury time against the **** that is Bournemouth and it saved Jesse I said we should have still sacked him before the World Cup I’d rather have Evans or Hockaday back
Mate, this is what I'm saying. The misses first half (including the one where Bamford doesn't take the ball in) should win us the game....and comfortably. Meanwhile, the ref misses an offside and Struijk makes yet another mistake to give them a goal. If we score a couple of those chances and the ref gets a decision right OR Struijk clears the ball, we're sat here saying how well we've played and what a great win we've just had. Instead, it's all Marsch's fault. He's not blameless by any means. He ultimately picked those players and didn't replace Struijk at left back in the transfer window. But...those players on that pitch today SHOULD have won that game. Individual mistakes at both ends cost us yet again. Jesse can't score those chances. Jesse can't head the ball away. Jesse can't give the offside decision. Those are on the individuals not on the coach. Tactics didn't cost us the game today, the players did. Strictly speaking, the way we set up today allowed us to create enough chances to win any game. Forest had two touches in our area 1st half and scored from a difficult chance with a great strike. It was the ref and Struijk who gave them that chance. I'm not picking on Struijk because of today. I'm picking him out because he's cost us important goals in nearly every match he's played since the world cup. The fact Struijk was picked today is firmly on Jesse. He's ****ing dumb to even have him any where near that squad given his recent form. For one last time...BUY A ****ING LEFT BACK.
I get you’re p*ssed.. but we weren’t under the cosh for the whole game at Liverpool. It’s utter nonesense. We more than held our own for 70 minutes and they got on top last 20 and created a bunch of mainly half chances. There’s plenty for you to pot shot at with out making stuff up.
Also, on the poor 2nd half. Forest were almost a back 6 at times. That's why it looked so congested. They had 9 men behind the ball most of the time. Much like Brentford did at ER. It's supposed to be difficult to break that down. That's why teams do it. We did it 2nd half at Newcastle and got a 0-0. Then it was all about a good defensive performance. You know, sometimes the opposition can have good defensive performances. Forest had one today in the 2nd half. Great condensed defending, spoiling the game. Wasting time. Fair play to em. They saw it out.
First half I defended the team, I said no change required but Cooper WILL TWEAK things so Jesse needs to read the game. Literally seconds before our first substitution I posted we need to make changes as we’re not a threat, scroll back and see. I agree with you, the first half wasn’t Jesses fault but the second half it was all down to him. He fails to change things. He makes straight swaps, Summerville nor Roca deserved to come off, I’d accept one off if he was tweaking the formation but it was like for like. Sinisterra and Summerville, nothing in it when it comes to ability but we were playing everything down the left, Forest crowded out every attack, did their keeper make a save in the second half? Dyche was in the stand, he’ll be rubbing his hands with delight about how we play
Bored with this now. We have people saying we had the better chances and should have won, and at the same time saying our clueless tactics cost us the game. It can’t be both really can it? But people seem to think it can. Hey Maybe our players are so good, that with a decent coach we’d outplay everyone even more every week… and take all our chances… and stop making stupid individual mistakes.
Seriously!!! Liverpool 69% possession Liverpool 22 shots 10 on target Liverpool 14 Corners Meslier man of the match Did we dominate today with our 10 shots, 4 on target and two corners, that’s how on top Liverpool were
I wouldn't have taken Roca off either. He was having a great game. McKennie didn't offer much. Roca was spreading the play and we lost that when he went off. I understand the Bamford substitution as he was poor. How were we supposed to know Rutter would be worse. Sinisterra looked a handful today and should be winning us the game but Jimmy has scored a few goals before his injury. Playing against a packed defence is tough to break down. I'm a bit 50/50 on his subs today but I think there are valid reasons behind all of them. Struijk had to come off because he was getting a red next tackle.
That is a bloody good question and call. I dont think any of us would want Potch in the hot seat. Not sure if he has any relegation battle experience though?
2nd half we were **** and that was down to the way Jesse set us up and his predetermined substitutions I’m genuinely 100% amazed that even one person can defend Jesse, seriously I am
Pointless making excuses for the result and looking at past data where refs have missed a foul or an offside, the point of this sport is winning games and Marschball doesn’t work as can be clearly seen. Some are saying but we are getting no luck, or the refs missed a foul you make your own luck and that’s always been the name of the game. We are not winning, we are beaten by the bottom teams. The manager is a joke and not capable. Forget making excuses for this joker now, he is just not good enough
We looked handy on the counter all game though. Aaronson hit the bar (from a Kristensen cross @BillysStatue). We missed a couple of 1v1 chances too that game but yeah, Liverpool were on top quite a bit but we gave them untold problems on the break.
Did you watch the game Risty - seriously??I’m assuming not, their chances almost all came in the last 20 minutes. First half was pretty even.. first 20 mins of the second half we were camped in their half. But if you’re such a fan of stats suddenly, they all say we should have won all four games since Newcastle. So you should be happy with progress.
Yes true, but a Bielsa ball fan with his own twist. Quite a few managers available. Tuchel, gatusso, potch has prem experience
