I read that he is on something like 300k a week at PSG - I wonder how much forest are covering of that
I thought Leeds were the better side in the first half, and were very unfortunate to be behind. But second half, they were really bad. Forest are not safe yet, but they've got one heck of a cushion in place now.
The fact they’re now nine points clear of us after they came to our place and we set up with five at the back and failed to get a shot on target… painful.
Whilst I think our squad isn’t too far off any of the teams from about 13th down I just can’t see 3 teams being worse than us come season end as majority have a 3 point head start aswell. We’d need to win half our games that remain to stay up and I can’t see that happening
There's no denying that the results this weekend have been awful for us. However, I don't think it changes too much. I said on here during the week that I'd predicted all scorelines for the rest of the season, and had us surviving on GD with 34 points. Within those predictions, I had us, Bmouth, Leeds and Palace all losing this weekend - which all happened. Yes, I also had Wolves, Leicester and West Ham all losing as well, which of course didn't happen - but in my predictions, all three of them survived anyway. The problem result was the Everton win. I had them being relegated by two points, including losing this weekend to Arsenal. It's next weekend which is the massive one. I had us down to beat Wolves. And to have any chance of getting anywhere near 34 points (which I suspect will be the bare minimum needed to stay up - but every chance it'll be more), we surely have to beat them.
I suppose when you sign almost 3 starting XIs some are going to be pretty good! Wasn't convinced that their scattergun approach would work but they have got a few cracking players in that squad. Plenty of not so good players too mind!
Think we have a bigger squad than them (haven’t actually looked but it will be close) We’ve signed 15 this season
Oh I'm sure there isn't much in it, though I reckon there's is larger. Signing 29 players and still playing a few of last year's best. Difference being we are the 7th (I think) longest standing PL team and have had 20+ windows to buy a plethora of overpaid bang average players. They have matched that feat in a season. Crazy!
This impresses me even more: Harry Kane is the third player to score 200 Premier League goals after Alan Shearer (260) and Wayne Rooney (208). Kane took fewer games to reach the landmark. This is his 304th game. Shearer took 306 and Rooney took 462. Quite amazing and still only 29.
Trying to work out where Lewis is supposed to be playing. I thought it was left back but he is everywhere but there most of the time. Seems to fancy himself as defensive midfield in front of the CBs. I guess Pep has told him where to play but if he stayed wide he could give Grealish some support.
Everton have Dyche now. And a squad set up to play physical Dycheball. They will be absolutely fine. Unfortunately they pulled the trigger on Lampard at the right time (for them). But it’s scuppered us
