Seri & Tufan should be a beautiful combination,
Seri relieves possession from, and destresses the back four, rolls it to Tufan who Quarterbacks it wherever he feels.
It should be a thing of beauty, I don't think they like each other.

He is literally Koren mk2. Would just go missing for an hour and then pop up with a bit of quality.

Problem is we ran through a lot of our play through Koren so he was in the game a lot more. Feel like we have to build round Tufan for it to work and I'm not 100% sure I want to do it with how inconsistent he can be

I think that's unfair on Koren, he did much more for us then tufan has ( so far )

From what I saw of the second half Tufan played well, some lovely interchanges to keep the ball that few in the team can do and even got stuck in.

Some odd assessments of Tufan on here. He is a creative player, assigned to linking midfield with attack. Yes he gives the ball way sometimes, but that’s in the nature of what he is asked to do. And let’s face it, everyone gives the ball away sometimes yet Tufan seems to be held to a different standard.
It wasn’t his best game for us, but he did plenty of good things. He makes the game look easy at times, that shouldn’t be confused with idleness or lack of desire.

He's totally this. But Koren was a ledge. Tufan could well be too. He has something. But like you say consistency is the difference between a championship impact sub and a Premier league starter - which incidentally he has the quality to be.

Tufan has contributed his fair share in terms of contribution per minutes so far.

Pelkas smashes him by the same metric though.

Dunno if it's off the bench to change things and an irregular starter or not, but Tufan has something and shows flashes of it every game.

Kamil, Koren, Geo, Jayjay by the time he came to us - he's that kind of player in temperament - but he's more versatile than any of those because there is a bit of graft about him.

He's coming into a new mindset and demonstrably adapting fairly quickly for a player in his first year.

I guess it's a question of whether you can carry that for 90 minutes for a few telling moments with the squad you have or whether you introduce them later on in games for best effect.

But I wouldn't dismiss Ozan too quickly.

A bit of a nerve watch at times, but even though Cardiff had their spells of being on top, penalty apart they never really created much. It was going to be a mistake by us to let them in, which nearly happened but Matty Ingram was there to save the day.

Not the most fluent of performances, but our defensive shape now is much more organised and we dealt with everything they could muster. Alfie Jones and McLoughlin both had very good games, but Christie was the standout performer, what a player!

Elder for me is a bit reckless at times, gives away silly free kicks in dangerous areas and was clumsy to give away the penalty. Fortunately, Ingram saved his blushes but was better in the 2nd half though Philogene certainly was a handful and a tricky customer. I assume Malcolm Ebiowei will be a similar type of player when he comes, and hopefully, he will be more productive with his final ball than Philogene was.

Christy however is a revelation, was a constant threat and was unlucky not to put us ahead early on. Coyle must be sitting there thinking how I will get back in the side. He certainly took his goal well, and credit to Slater who made the run from the left wing across the front of their box to set the goal up.

I thought Tufan was neither good nor bad, he makes one or two unnecessary clumsy challenges, but he and Christie did work well together down the right. You always feel there is more he could do, I'm just hoping giving him a run of games now we will start to see more from him.

With 2 home wins on the bounce, 3 points, into the top half of the table and 4 points off the playoffs with Tetteh, Allahyar, Pelkas & Ebiowei to come into the reckoning, the future looks ROSY.

Complete side note and not just saying it because we suffered it, but I think there needs some adjustment to the rules - maybe if you have your back to goal, not sure - where those sorts of fouls are indirect frees not straight out pens. Because the punishment really doesn't fit the crime in that circumstance.

Had to miss the one, unfortunately. However, this sounds a carbon copy of the games earlier in Rosenior’s tenure where we’d be talking about a 1-1 draw.

Credit to everyone for the progress being made!

Possibly the best win under Rosenior to date. Not pretty and didn't dominate the second half. Physically tough and lots of long/high balls thrown in to our box.

I agree. Tufan starts two games and we as a team look miles better going forward. He has a few loose touches and lapses of concentration and gets hammered for it. Slater has started nearly every game this year and has been completely anonymous for 2/3 of them and doesn’t get half the criticism because he’s a ‘grafter’. I don’t get it.
