He was poor and had a few awful touches in attacking areas, but him going off for Longman coincided with Cardiff taking control of the game. Whilst it might not look like much his quality when linking up with Christie down the right helps us play out and control games.
I think that was a coincidence tbh, imo the last 2 games have proved why he hasn't been starting. He just doesn't offer enough consistently ( he's really talented, but just doesn't seem to have the drive or desire to be a top player ) I wouldn't be surprised to see him drop out at Stoke.
It’s a team game, Tufan links well with Christie and it’s no coincidence that two of Christie’s best games for us have been when Tufan has started alongside him. Once Tufan went off we hardly got the ball forward.
that winger totally rinsed Greaves - yes he stopped pulling shirts but the guy kept getting passed him instead - sad to say but he's going backwards and the way the rest of the back four played I can't see him starting much
Dont disagree but somehow Tufan was poor as well. I dont know if its his choice or tactical but quite often he wasn't occupying the space but playing off the back shoulder of a defender. Felt the whole midfield bar Seri was poor
That winger was doing really well against Elder and Greaves. If the winger had a final product it could have been trouble. Point is I wouldn't blame Greaves entirely against a good winger post injury
Strange how opinions differ isn't it? Baz gave him a glowing write up. I didn't think he was either poor or great - not sure he's that easily dropped - but with proper wide players coming available in his position today it's probably the more obvious one for change.
This was my half-serious causation / correlation comment last week. People seem to be ascribing certain elements of the game to Tufan that just aren't there (similar to when he came on at the same time as Tetteh and Longman against Sheff U and people claimed it was him that turned the game in our favour when it was really Tetteh and Longman). He's just not good enough to start, but does have attributes that suit coming off the bench and injecting into the game late on.
He's going backwards in a single game returning from injury? He's been outstanding since his shift to LB prior to today.
One of the best things about football, love how many different views you can have. Don't get me wrong, tufan can be fantastic, but he's just not consistent, today he drifted through the game. Glimpses of what he can do followed by an awful first touch and us losing possession. I know no player wants to be this kind of player, but I think he's a perfect impact sub. He could be so much better quite easily, he just doesn't seem to want to be, which just makes him all the more frustrating
I think going backwards is harsh, he just needs to figure out a way to make up for the fact he doesn't have the first 5yrd burst of pace that doesn't involve holding on to shirts
