Ely did well at Celtic and is a regular international for Norway. Think he’d have interest from elsewhere even if we offered a new contract.
The comment was that magic didn't think he has shown enough for someone to offer what we would want for him. I'm not sure that is very hard to argue with.
I've just listened to the the interview on BBC sport. Unbelievable - he is blaming himself, but at the same time saying it's not his fault as he has listened to others. Make up your mind Nathan. He says he is the manager and he takes the blame as the players don't know how to play his system. Maybe his system is crap? Maybe he should listen to others and leave? I thought Pellegrino was clueless, but he is Alex Ferguson compared to NJ.
The only reason I can see why he will stay on, is because he hasn't been given a decent crack with new signings, which have come in at great relative expense. On the other hand, he really hasn't done anything to justify the stay of execution. There is just nothing cohesive about way he has the team playing. He's delivered around 6 decent halves out of 26.
He’s a complete joke after today’s comments. I had big doubts before, but there was still part of me that felt a bit sorry for him and had a glimmer of hope.
