We had this with Unai Emery when I was at Arsenal. Fans kept giving him credit for making HT subs but all HT subs (if they are regular) really tell you is that the coach keeps getting the starting lineup wrong.
We're dominating possession, but not really dominating the match. Have had a couple maybe-kinda-sorta chances, but Brentford seems pretty comfortable getting men behind the ball and seeing whether we can create chances (spoiler: we can't).
Best thing is they were so confident about it. As soon as Ralph left he was immediately the name that emerged and the club acted decisively to bring him in. I was definitely sceptical, but the speed with which the club acted gave me some feeling that it was a decision made with some comprehensive due diligence. Now I feel like it’s somehow worse that this was the clubs answer after putting actual work into it, rather than it just being a lazy panic appointment. It makes me doubt the competence of our back room staff.
Yeah and this is a recurring theme in second halves when teams have the lead against us. Happened against Newcastle in the cup, Forest and now today. Teams know if they just sit back for the first 20 mins or so of the second half and be solid we will struggle to break them down
Lavia dissenting the decision to be substituted... away end chanting 'you don't know what you're doing' at Jones.
I did not expect to see a manager worse than Mauricio Pellegrino. I'm impressed by how quickly Jones convinced me that he had exceeded that threshold.
