You really wouldnt wish him on your worst enemy. Poor Bradford City FC. Mind you, opposing BC is like printing money, so thanks Parky for bringing the description "football mananger" into disrepute, and proving beyond all doubt you are indeed the worst "manager" ever to disgrace the game.
I wouldn't say he's the worst manager in history, in fact (*prepares for tonnes of abuse*) I'd say since Curbs left he was the second best manager we've had - that however, is like winning Silver in a Manchester beauty contest. He seems to have forged a career out of getting managerial appointments which place him in impossible situations - first job at Charlton was to steer an unmotivated, disinterested squad out of relegation zone, second year he done quite well, third-year he was made to reassemble the squad on a vastly narrow budget (hence the signings of Charlton legends Big Pawel, Francis and McOxo). Now at Bradford, he was brought in right at the end of the transfer window meaning very little chance to forge a new squad. He's definately a Marmite-Manager, but I can't bring myself to say he was a worse manager than Alan Pardew (who in my opinion destroyed our club), Ian Dowie or Les Reed.
Even Fergie lost 1-6 at home. No manager in the world can win every match. Losing by a single goal to Cheltenham who are in a promotion position is not such a disgrace. I am shocked that Houndal should resort to quoting from the gutter press to support his spiteful vendetta. Rumour is that Houndal saw something which humiliated him when standing next to Parky in the Charlton urinals. They don't call him "Big Phil" for nothing. This is a just a minor blip in Parky's ongoing work to create the Barcelona of the North. They are only 15 points off a play-off spot. Once Parky puts together one of the long winning sequences for which he is famous they will be up there challenging for promotion and playing silky "push and run" football too to thrill the crowds.
houndal, we know what you feel about Parky, it's getting a bit tiresome tbh. All I will say on this is that Parky had very few resources to work with, and particularly in 09/10 did a decent job. He's an honest guy (unlike that w*****r Pardew) whom I will never be able to dislike. I wish him all the best at Bradford.
Any debate about managers should take into account where the real problem lay- right at the very top. If you don't believe me tell me where we'd be without the takeover(whoever the manager)

Agree 100% with WWOCB and Captain Blackaddick. I DO doubt he'd have done as well with the money Powell has spent as Powell has, but certainly the situations he was put in were almost always no-win, and he showed a lot more dignity than that prªt currently at Newcastle.
what is pardew doing which making them play football and playing like a team he didnt do that with us the entire time he was our boss
agreed should he ever grace the visitors dugout at The Valley anytime he'd get a round of applause from me for his efforts if he'd taken us up last season it would have been little more than a miracle. He's moved on and so have we its time to just let it go
Eddie, I like your style However I dont like apathy, failure and mediocrity but thats another story. In 2008/9 we were relegated with Norwich and Soton. Norwich are now back in the PL and Soton are headed that way. I would say that rather proves we wasted the 2 years under Parky, although I agree Muzza must hold the candle. After all if you can legally trouser over 500 large, who wouldnt. Should he ever disgrace us again with his presence, forgive me if I dont give him a round of applause - personally I am very happy he failed in his attempt to bust our club. PS - I also happen to like Marmite. PPS - He is in fact a thoroughly dishonest guy. An honest guy would never have taken the job under false pretences. Interestingly I had forgotten the club who finished 4th from bottom in 2008/9 - Plymouth so I suppose there is always someone worse off. I will continue to monitor his "career" That all

Strangely enough we had some decent(for us) cup results under Parky. N.V. was average for us in the cup.
Superb performance to defeat Sheff Utd on their own ground. The Blades had better individual players in every position, but Bradford had far the better manager, a superb tactician and motivator. They must be red-hot favourites to make it to Wembley now. I think this also explains their blip in the league on Saturday. The cup is a one-off, whereas we are only a third of the way through the league season. Plenty of time for them to cruise into a promotion spot by next May. I am not suggesting Parky ordered them to ease off at the weekend, but some of those players would never have dreamed of playing at Wembley until the club made the dramatic and unexpected coup of signing one of England's top managers.
