I would love to know how he defines, “all of those years of misery”. ****ing hell man, stupid twat hasn’t got a clue about football. Relegated twice, straight back up both times, aye miserable as **** that is
It's the narrative that's been pushed out in the media for years about how hard done by they are (or were). Because most fans from other clubs don't pay a huge amount of attention to the majority of other clubs than their own and maybe a couple of rivals, stuff like that gets accepted at face value. Until they start paying closer attention to them for what ever reason. It's only then that it gets challenged. When you consider, though, that most of the local media and quite a few bits of the national media (the Custuses, Simon Bird etc) are pro the mags or in their pockets and the rest are basically lazy, it's rare to get anything that goes against that narrative.
Well , if you say the Saudi Royal Family , then it does suggest “ family “ Can’t find a way to fit “ decent” into it for him though .
Just to add a tad of balance to some of the unpleasantness that is showing up, I'd like to relate my experiences of a meeting today with a youngish N/C Fan. He was fixing my heating, it has been off for some days. I was wearing a SAFC badged fleece, and we started to have odd football chats as he was working. Firstly, and most important, he got the job done. He was thorough too, so I will be getting more work done in the near future when he has those parts ordered. But most of all he was a pleasure to talk to. In MY experience he was like the typical N/c fans. Yes there are some knuckle draggers amongst them, as there are at all Clubs, but most are just like the rest of us. Fair, reasonable and wanting what's best for their Club. A credit to NUFC
Credit where it's due Gordon. As you know I used to earn my living, mostly around South Shields, Jarrow and Hebburn. My customers, or at t least those that were interested in Football, were probably split 50/50 Red and White, Black and White. Is your experience the same? I never once experienced any unpleasantness because of my allegiance to SAFC. And if you think about out shared Culture, Ships, coal engineering, we have a lot more in common with each other than with any other part ofthe Country,
Will any of the Saudi State be present at Wembley ... ... as they're not part of this 'investment group' there's no reason they should be.
This is so true. Used to hear fans who had no connection to them about the "Ashley just doesn't spend money" as a reason they had it so hard. It's embarrassing how quick sports washing works though. The media and as a result the majority of other football fans have forgot who owns them and why!
People in glass houses mate. How can Man Utd mock the Mags when their own club is a billion in debt with remote owners who have no interest in football. I love seeing the big clubs whinge when someone spends bigger money than them ... ... they're destroying the game and don't care.
Oh I get there are some decent lads supporting them. But even my boss is desperate for them not to win. He’s from Stoke originally and has been in the north east about 20 years. He literally said last night “they’ll be insufferable if they win it. They went on about the fairs cup for 50 years, imagine if they actually win a domestic trophy here”
Even the step daughters partner has switched from supporting Man Utd to those twats up the road and is taking the grandson to the game Saturday night. They've been together for nearly 10 years and he's never even talked about them before this season
Oh that’s no surprise. My son is man united daft but loves the lads too. Luckily he’d never be interested in that. Love to take him to Wembley for the carabao final but tickets are already silly money!!
I’m surprised the title isn’t “is sean longstaff the best player in the premier league” they’ve got so far up their own arseholes they’re off the map
"Is Sean Longstaff the best Geordie to have every played football?" "Tonight on a very special Cup Fina Look North we talk to celebrity Geordies across the world and ask them the important question - will we win 4-0 or 5-0 - as we count down to the game in 4 weeks time"
For some reason I'm surrounded by them now in Hartlepool. One of the dads who takes his son to the same football training as the grandson, reckoned they'll get their hands on silverware in a few weeks time. He was a bit nonplussed when I asked if he was getting a new dinner service!
