Really, we have a debt to pay off dont forget we are under scrutiny and close to FFP limits ... if not over them .....
Our reasoning [ BCFC ] was the covid demolished our business model, improve players and sell some on to balance the books... so maybe £5m of the money recieved should go to that!

Jay Dasilva... with contract up in summer, should we renegotiate a new contract in keeping with present day standards?

Wouldn’t surprise me if we go back for the Wimbledon full back, & Jay joins Coventry.

Reading the comments it was a money saving exercise, sell Jay to Coventry and benefit from his ? 15k? a week and get in the Wimbledon player for £4k a week! Now at seasons end JAY can walk ...!

The club also said they were looking to bring targets they had planned for the summer forward to the Jan window, due to cash received from the sell of Semenyo. I’d be surprised if Jay agrees to a large wage reduction if Coventry, or anyone else, offers more.

well of course if someone offered more then would be silly not to take it up if it also meant first team football, but BCFC could offer £10k with a get out clause .. say £3m!

Time will tell, but the mood music seems to be he’s on his way. If he stays he’ll go from a top earner, to backup with wages to match, you may be right but I think it’s unlikely.
