The only thing about this deal is why did Luton want him gone? This is the second player to arrive from Kenilworth Road that appear to have left in a hurry, which begs the question as to why? Atkinson has done O.K. so let's just hope Harry has a bag of tricks up his sleeves. Welcome aboard the good ship Bristol City to all of our newbies and help us kick on upwards. Best wishes to all the departures in their new homes, and a special mention to the two who jumped up to the Premier League.

Kai Naismith was the other to join from Luton.
Cornick was out of contract this summer and Naismith was out of contract when we signed him.
Who are the two who joined Premier league?

I hope both signings can do the business for us !
If Cornick is a winger as it says on his bio, will he be played wide or will he play centrally ?

But it's our DEFENCE that needed fixing.
It's great to have talented strikers - I'm happy they are on board, but now we haven't even got the option of Klose to help out at the back.
We should have taken the opportunity to strengthen in the area that we have ALL known has been needed for most of Nige's tenure to-date.

I can foresee some 'exciting' 5-4 defeats coming our way...............

I agree RR - and I'm not trying to be 'doom and gloom'. We have had a good January as far as results are concerned - with Bell stepping up and the addition of the other 2 new signings we have improved overall - which is great.
We have not strengthened at the back though, so we remain vulnerable - if defenders get injured or banned we don't have a pot of replacements ready to step in, so we will end up playing players out of position again - and don't have Klose as a backup now either.
However, Kalas is close to coming back (he's been on the bench for the past couple of games apparently) which is great news and like I said, overall we've improved the squad.
Maybe, like 1for said; we won't need to worry about the defence because the ball will be in the opposition's half all game <cheers>

We do look better defensively now we have gone to 4-3-3 / 4-4-2. Hopefully Nige has binned the 5-3-2 formation which we clearly didn't have the players, or th coaching ability to get it into them.

I think it's been a good window for City and our age bill has gone down with some leaving.
Think it's only Da Silva and Kalas remaining on silly money.
The 2 additions make football sense and we just missed out with the CH.
Fiscal management at it's best for some while.
Well done Mr Gould and NP.

And still money in the pot for the summer for new players. Let’s hope we’re still in the Championship!

I think we were starting to look better during January with some notable young players hitting the score sheet. The business we completed during the transfer window will take time to show, but I believe our performances will improve even more over the remainder of the season which should make us safe from the unthinkable. I am hoping that the upcoming summer break doesn't see the departure of some other players which would almost certainly cause yet another rebuilding period. If Bristol City really do want to achieve something more than the bland boring football for which we have become known then this summer has to show the commitment to the task of making us a contender. It wasn't that many years ago that Luton Town were playing National League football and now they are challenging for promotion to the Premier League and considering they have a crappy stadium and crowds of around 10,000, and it makes our top brass statements about the commitment to promotion look a little bit sick. Luton is only one example of other clubs having more ambition than us and how on earth we have sat in the shade for so long beggars belief. Time is running out on my love for the club that has never yet met my expectations or indeed their own.

Pearson has to come up with the goods for the remainder of this season and it will be interesting to see where the somewhat new squad takes us from here. I can't take another summer full of promises that produces very little substance, and if that is the case I will switch my allegiance to watching the grass grow.
