Nine games and no wins in two months - I wonder how many will say "they should have given him a chance"?
Forest Green Rovers have appointed former Everton assistant manager Duncan Ferguson as their new head coach.
New job comes with a veggie burger . https://www.skysports.com/watch/vid...-ferguson-will-drive-an-electric-car-tomorrow Not sure what he made of the owners dress sense ?!
A round about cryptic way of saying I want to leave from Moses Caicedo https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/64435218.amp Hardly really been playing in the team for more than a year and wants out . I know players do want to move all the time but rather ungrateful?
Two yellows for Reading's battering ram Andy Carroll today - I wonder if that means he'll miss the match against us next week?
He will be - and so will Paul Ince if he keeps on whinging like this. What Reading FC striker Andy Carroll's red card at Manchester United means for Paul Ince's side - Berkshire Live (getreading.co.uk)
This is Paul Ince who used to play at Man U of course. He will know how everyone else playing at Old Trafford feels now !
Very generous offer by the Leicester owners ! Not sure many others would do this . https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/leicester-premier-league-covid-foxes-b2273526.html?amp
I haven't a clue what "capitalised into equity" actually means, but given that this is the second time in a decade that Leicester have done this - saving themselves nearly £300milllion by doing so - how does that sit with football's FFP rules? Doesn't sound too 'fair' to me.
Usually , 'capitalised into equity' means loans which are converted into shares. I think. So the company is worth more (?) and the funds are no longer repayable.
Andy Carroll on Christian Erikson. In what f*****g footballing universe is that not a straight red? Disgraceful from the referee, almost as bad as the challenge!
It is to avoid FFP regulations and although it is "dodgy" it is not as bad as Billion Dollar shirt sponsor ship perfected by Man City or signing players on hundred years deal by Chelsea
Wonder what happens now ? Does he just come back into the Man U squad as if nothing happens .. As presumably Greenwood was kept away from the limelight until this was sorted out and despite not facing criminal proceedings this won’t go away and should think his reputation is in a mess and PR wise people might look at him still in a dim light . https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-64502021
Presumably someone would have to be dropped from the squad to make way for him? If that was me, I'd be less than happy... All sounds a bit suss to me - charges dropped because key witnesses withdrew - did he pay them off? The police statement "We would always encourage any potential victims to come forward and report to police and we will prosecute wherever our legal test is met" could easily be construed as a plea for more witnesses to come forward, and that they know he is guilty but need more evidence to convict. I guess the truth will never come out.
Apparently the main witness is his girlfriend who unbelievably is still with him apparently! I do remember at the time her Dad coming out and allegedly saying these were false allegations. Yes you do wonder if the fact he is a well paid footballer has anything to do with it.
