Just seen the draw and what a superb one it is. Surely a full house for this one and I just wish I could get over there to see the game in person, but instead I will watch the game over my lunch and wait to see the headline "Bristol City shock the football world by thrashing Manchester City". I am allowed to dream aren't I? Yes and a thumbs up for whoever pulled the balls out of the bag. I just saw your comment supcon and I too have noticed how we are generally last to get the highlights and rarely rate a more than 10 second comment, if at all. That's what happens when you're a backwater team that gets no respect. I suspect the same will not be true on this one especially after we win.
well we dip out on £225,000 as losers, get 45% of the gate money ... half the TV MONEY? plus profit from catering etc...... a draw would be good!
45% of 50,000+ would be a brilliant payday if we could eke out a draw at Ashton Gate but we know the odds you could get on that happening. The revenue at the gate could be more than the total for our home games. Fingers crossed that they decide to throw out a bunch of youngsters incapable of matching us.
Don’t think we’ll have to worry too much about that, I imagine we’ll be well beaten in 90 mins. Of course it’s the FA cup so who knows, if they don’t put out a full side we may have a chance.
No penalties for two seasons then 5 come along at once!! That would be typical of anything associated with Bristol!!
had they been in Arsenal's position they might have! But next to winning the prem is the FA cup OR a cup in Europe! Should we [ most realistic view ] ship 6 goals then not to worry really, the fixture will give us about £250,000 plus last 2 rounds so £500,000 windfall as we usually get nothing from cup [ or very little! ] Thats 2 of our top players wages almost covered!
It’s a 19:45 kick off on a Weds night ffs. What utter nonsense Not sure it will be a full house now thanks to the FA.
thats a real bummer for Man City fans especially if we get ET & pens .. FA probably think .. only BCFC so only be 90 mins .. BOTH CLUBS SHOULD COMPLAIN
When F.A. Cup games are shown over here they never allow enough time in their schedule to get the full match yet alone extra time or penalties. I haven't seen a single game to it's 90 minutes and with City it has been an issue in the past as most action can happen in the missed time. Even if you set an extra hour on the recording you still won't get anything after about 87 minutes.
FA Cup fifth rounds have been midweek games now for a few years and they don’t have replays now. So all finished on the night. We sold out to Man Utd and Man City games in the league cup which were both mid week games plus both on TV . So why would this one not be a sell out?
