Not really hypocritical. I don't choose the manager! We did look at other, bigger-name managers. But decided Pearson was better. I assume from the "if we did start to look at other managers" line, that Sven was still there at the time. I would rather Sven still be there than have Pearson back, but he's not so Pearson is a good option. Will he did as well the second time? We'll see. Besides, that comment is clearly intended as a WUM comment to wind up your bad tempered self, who would have thought that so soon in the future, this would be happening!
You're back! Can't say I'm delighted. By the way, the new avatar is a bit, you know, racist don't you think?
I thought that was pretty bad, just wondered if he'd said something else. I am indeed. I'm on probation, I wasn't supposed to be released until tomorrow but I've had an early release for good behaviour (I made the first and last part of that up). It is indeed racist, but I've got a reputation to live up to these days.
Why am I backtracking? I said: "No I wouldn't have Pearson back." Pearson wasn't my first choice. I said: "is time here was good" FACT! I said: "...but chances are he wouldn't do as well the second time" we'll see. Possibly true. I said: "If we do start to look at other managers, they will be of a much higher calibre." O'Neill, for instance, so FACT. So all in all, I still say the same. All the foul language in the world won't prove you right.
You can all squabble and name call but I'm gutted.. I think he'll do a great job at Leicester.. I don't know the salary offer but it's probably at least double his current one.. I would do the same.
What exactly are you implying? I haven't been on the board for a few days but might have something relevant to add if you are implying what I think you might be.
I think he's referring to a post OLM made a couple of days ago which pretty much read - "He's told the players he's not going anywhere".
I think you're right to be gutted. BUT I think Hull (the club, definitely not the town) is still an attractive prospect to a manager, mainly due to where Nige has left you in the league.
I'm clearly stating that OLM and Strov have been bleating on about him telling the players he's going nowhere when it was clearly made up baloney.
I don't doubt NP told the players he was going nowhere. At that point he'd had no permission to talk to Leicester so could have killed the deal if he'd told them he was considering an offer. I'm amazed anyone sees at as anything more. Actually, no. It wouldn't surprise me to find some half wit of a Leicester fan would try and show their stupidity by trying to make a meal of it. I'm glad Hull City fans aren't as thick.
One of the senior players son is in the same class as my daughter at school . I speak to him most school days and after the occasional game . He told me on Thursday that NP had assured him , can't say whether he addressed the full squad,he was going nowhere. This info I shared with OLM . Looks like NP was lying . If the truth be told NP probably believed it at the time but has since had his flat topped head swayed with forty pieces of silver . Call that baloney if you wish, I care not .
lmfao well olm has ****ed his credability up even more if he was listening to you. i don't even bother reading what he has to say anymore and if your one of his sauces that says it all
In all fairness, even if NP did tell the players he was not going anywhere, there is no loyalty in football anymore, it all about who offers the most money! Put yourself in NP's shoes..... He is probably getting paid a decent salary with you guys at the moment but has seen what has happened at Leicester recently and wants a piece of the action! Sven was there for about a year, signed some pretty crap players to be fair (Beckford!) who Leicester fans will still say how they prefer him over Maynard who has only scored 1 goal in all comps this year compared to Maynards 4.... Anyway, NP's thinking.... Hmmm, i get to join Leicester, have a open ended budget and get paid a bucket load of cash, and even if i get the team relagated i still walk away with a nice £1 million pay off..... Its a win - win situation for him, there is no pressure on him to do well!
