It’s not professional at all for nobody to have noticed until the last minute regarding the loan numbers.

Transfers take an age to do so the less that need to be done in the summer the better.

If Porro is done then ultimately Spurs have ended the window with a stronger line up than they started with.

You don't think that he might have left this to the director of football?

    PSG-bound

Pretty much a given he'd head that way either in January or June, given he was set to join them last summer until PSG failed to offload Icardi to balance their FFP

The book stops with Blofeld, he employs these Buffoons.

That could well be the only way we will get rid of Ndombele, Lo Celso, Sessegnon, Sanchez and possibly Royal.

We had to do it with Aurier in the summer of 2021, effectively did it with Dele in Jan 2022 and now with Doherty.

    4 minutes left

    Thats that I’d say folks

I think we might be able to actually sell Emerson as he probably still has credibility in Spain.

Sanchez may also have a bit of interest albeit we’d only get about £15m tops.

The other three though… it’s looking extremely bleak in my opinion.

For the life of me, I genuinely had no idea why journalists and pundits thought Sessegnon could go to last years world cup yet loads were talking about him in the build up to it.
He played really well against Southampton in August...I genuinely think that is the only good game he's had for us.

Dan KP hinted there might be a late bid for Sanchez, but it's probably not happening now

Any updates on ***an-Walcott to Swindon?

    This is what worries me.

It's ok if you do it every once in a while and/or for emergencies such as misconduct or disciplinary issues, but habitually tearing up contracts left right and centre not only deprives the club of much needed income (even if the 5 you've mentioned sold for an average £5-10m each, that's circa £30-40m down the toilet), it also sets a dangerous precedent and sends totally the wrong message to potential players: Sure, we're interested in you now and will offer you a nice contract, but if in a few years it hasn't worked out, screw your development or giving you a second chance, we'll just cut you adrift and you can fend for yourself. The player isn't affected financially as they can insist on a pay-out, but their image is tarnished badly.

Having your contract terminated isn't a good look in any industry, least of all one under such public scrutiny. From the player's side, the PR is they are either abysmal or have done something terribly wrong, and from the club's side it just smacks of poor recruitment and a lack of overall strategy (which Doherty's signing was).

Doherty is now on a 6-month contract at Atleti. He isn't remotely what Simone wants his defenders to be, so my money is he'll be a free agent again in the summer and will be picked up by some middling irrelevant club. And granted, maybe that's his true level at 31, but try convincing promising young talent to join Spurs when a) they will struggle for game time and b) their onward journey could be to have their contract terminated.

Not a good look, at all.

It was terminated by mutual agreement so not any sort of threat to new signings.
