What's noticeable is that there is zero chat about Simms on any of the socials or usual media outlets. Not even the suggestion of him coming back
£12m with 6 months left on his contract. Cracking player but that's a hefty fee for a lad who's on a free in 4 months time
I suppose we do hope they lose a few otherwise we will go up, some fans can’t see a long term picture, they want everything now, the same ones will be booing their heads of next season when we are getting hammered, but they will blame KLD and Speakman[/QUOTE] I suppose I'm scared of going back to our previous experiences in the PL,where we had very little to cheer, other than a staunch rearguard action to earn us a draw or,on rare occasion,a fluky win. I want us to be able to be a force when we go up....and I'm not sure our current squad is ready without surgery, which I don't want to see. I do think, however, there's so much talent,we're pretty close.
We just need Amad and Roberts to finish all their good approach work which if we're honest they didn't do at Fulham, I know that's a bit nitpicking but we should have won. However we coped manfully for three months without LND so perhaps Geldhart can step up if we fail to attract another striker, time will tell.

It’s totally dependant on Simms himself. If he doesn’t want to be there, Dyche won’t want him hanging around. We all know how that pans out
Starting to think that unless the deal has been lined up, but not approved until they get their own signing through the door. Everyone knows that Simms is only going to warm the bench for them -= the fact Mowbray even mentioned him on Sat suggests there has been some encouragement from Everton
Probably the best scenario we could've got regarding Stewart and presumably I'm pleased he's not going to be out longer. Ideally I would like a defensive midfielder who can take Evans's spot in the squad and hopefully 2 strikers in, everywhere that includes Simms or not. However, I'm on the fence whether I want us to get promoted or not this season. I can see reasons for both arguments, yep we get a cash load of money which would help the club and after Saturday, we more than matched Fulham but could we do that for a full season? Only time will tell but I do know one thing for sure - the players were have at the moment are playing probably the best football I have ever seen at Sunderland. Lets enjoy watching them and if that takes us up then so be it

Majority won't be stupid. Getting relegated again (if), won't be catastrophic if we plan properly, which I expect kld to do. Proper planning would have us using parachute payments to increase wage structure, build stronger and go for promotion again
I think next season could be a very, very good one IF we can keep the squad together. You'd assume we'd be among the favourites for promotion
Whatever happens I like it that we're debating whether or not we'd like to be in the prem next season when we were little better than an above average league one team last season. For what it's worth I'd love it if we went up. We'd be buzzing all summer and I'd trust us to add what we needed to make a decent go of it. I might not have said that if we got spanked by Fulham but we at least matched them. Going up would accelerate the plan and time is precious.
On promotion, I will leave it to chance, a decent cup run and steady improvement on the playing side is probably the priority atm., but I would not mind at all if we went up either, 12 minutes is a long time in football never mind 12 months . Its not like we have a choice really, so as long as the club, ie KLD, are happy then so am I. OaU
