Agree on the priority but think Jack would be a loss. He seems to have taken to a central role quite well… only aaronson to date has otherwise filled that role - with mixed results. Not saying luis or others couldn’t do it. In the current market think quoted price is cheap (if correct).
Jack's current form is red hot. If we play three central midfielders I'd probably go with Roca, Adams and McKennie in the Aaronson role though. I'm OK with Jack leaving but it has to be for the right price and not to anyone bottom end of the table. I'd never sell to Leicester that's for sure.
fair point… word was that all parties were happy to extend though. So would extending to sell ala lorrente not have been an option? Maybe he would want too much of a pay rise to risk it. that’s assuming it’s not alll Twitter rubbish anyway
Yeah, it all seemed to be going smoothly then nothing. Perhaps the % of transfer and signing on fee, would swallow up any wage increase. Who knows. Some hack saying he's having a medical at Leicester but absolutely nothing to substantiate it.
Think the problem with Harrison is he could have signed a new deal back in December when the WC was on and his agent even flew in. To me this says Jack wanted more money or a longer contract, so didnt sign. Marsch benched him a bit too and put him behind Gnonto and Summerville. Jack hasn’t earned a pay rise for me, nowhere near as effective as previous seasons. Take the £25m we won’t miss him, but if he stays that’s fine too as he is another “weapon in our armoury”
Leicester have signed Tete... a left footed winger (though normally plays on the right I think) that we were allegedly interested in too. Wonder if tete to leeds was our option if we flogged harrison. And that now leicester have Tete, harrison stays put? Clearly i have no feckin idea. No change there then.
