Does anyone care about these international things or are they just a way of ****ing up our football?

Gives the team a break, we looked knackered against Everton.

This. I'm not too arsed about England anymore and I'm sure that's the same for a lot of people, but the two week break in the season is good for the team in some respects. We've just had a hard fought game against Everton and there are a few things the team need to work on to ensure we don't get mauled 6 - 0 in each of the next three games!

International things? What's that? Is that like the winter market in Newcastle where they sell foreign food an that?

    I like them.

In all seriousness, no. I couldn't give a toss about England right now. And yes, the winter market is awesome and I've noticed it's a lot more frequent. Nowt better than buying some olives and feta from the Greek stall then circumnavigating the local nutcase with the "Jesus saves" sandwich board.

It's the top of Grainger Street near the monument, loads of open stalls selling pretty much every type of food you could wish for. Better during Christmas when you've been shopping and it's freezing cold with snow falling through the lights on Grey Street. Grab a tray of hot roasted garlic potatoes or a belly pork sandwich and enjoy the atmosphere.

It doesn't get much better, I do it every year without fail. It's my favourite place in the world at Christmas.

Maybe Osca won't be the one licking the fat off Syd's chin after all.
