At least it's got the whole country talking about dyslexia "Matt Hancock has so far donated just 3% of the fee he was paid for appearing on I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! to charity, it has been revealed. The former health secretary received £320,000 for his stint on the reality show."
To be fair Matty boy will have rather an expensive divorce coming up. Maybe his dyslexia prevented him from reading the vow to forsake all others at his wedding
As l suffer from dyslexia as most of my posts will show, l did not have any ldea until a friend pointed out that l might be. She was a teacher who taught dyslexic children in Southampton and picked up that l always said right before left when giving driving directions. It has never held me back and l now see the funny side of mistake l make especially my grammar or should that be grandma? Smug, would Hancock pay tax and capital gains on that money and as a dyslexic will l get 10 bob and a pickle egg from his donation?
A demonstration of the whole weirdness around politics, the difference between how politicians act when they're 'working' versus when they're not. Look at the likes of Portillo and Ed Balls - complete arseholes while politicking, and I'd happily sit in a pub having a pint with both of them now.
I'm just catching up on The Last Leg from Friday night. Angela Rayner is on. This is the MP who we can safely assume is from one of the least privileged backgrounds of any of them. She looks like she's got no idea what's happening and is going down like a fart in a lift. She's got the 'oh ****' face on. So it's not just the poshos that are out of touch.
It's the fickos like her, who can't be bothered to speak properly, too, then What an embarrassment she is
This woman is another one of the disappointing and frustrating reasons that have left me alienated and deceived by the Labour Party. Angela claims to be the “voice of the working class “ and bangs on about her struggle upbringing, but like ALL of the bastards when they get down Westminster, they can’t wait to get their noses in the trough, where she is now in the top three percent of mp’s for secondary income, The average secondary income is £15000, she has received £300,000, another sad case of these champagne socialists
So not on your GLIF list? £300,000 Seemed a huge amount, from what I could glean, most of it was spent of office staff salaries and most of the rest on London accommodation £30,000. Her expenses are not excessive in comparison to other MPs. Or do you have other information? She had £18,000 donations/secondary income.
Just got back from a long walk from Helmsley and I’m f ucked, wish I was young again and everything worked normal
Expecting serious political debate, on a crap Friday night comedy show, might be where you're going wrong .... .... it's like Question Time without the humour
