City fans pushing players too hard at home?

Same near me. The old ones moan at our players and the 18-30s just give abuse to match officials and the opposition fans instead <laugh>

I think it’s possibly the best single word in the English language.

Though anyone using it when kids are around is a ****.

Myself and Steverico must be ****s as we both used it at the moron on Argyle Street who was driving too fast and wouldn't give way to us. The ever magnificent plod weren't too impressed by our reaction, but they got a gob full too. Perish the thought they could actually take the idiots registration number, or even help pedestrians across the road.

Using it in appropriate circumstances is ok but not in front of kids - I got sent off for it at a linesman once so maybe it rankles LOL

I worded my post badly, I should have made it clear we told him to stop using that word, jot to just 'stop swearing' generally.

For me if there are kids around certain words, and behaviours, are off limits regardless of the setting. The C word is one of them.

I remember reading about a Stoke fans first introduction to going to football. The first four games he went to were 0-0.

I was lucky. It was about 8 games before I saw us lose and we won the first 4.

The atmosphere was very good at times today, but also very quiet at others. At times in the North, everyone is just having their own little conversations and you can hear a general murmur like being in a crowded pub but no one is singing. Don't think we're any worse than other clubs in general but we could certainly do better at times.

My missus and 2 kids became members at the start of 21/22 so started with 0-3, 0-1, 0-0, 1-3 and 1-1.
I could literally feel the enthusiasm draining out of them week by week!!

There's an old fella sits near me, always shouting 'forward' and these incredibly clever quips always along the lines of 'we're playing a game of football boys, be nice if you joined in' or, 'warm up was done ages ago boys you can start playing now' etc etc...

He was there today. Don't recall him saying anything at all other than the odd groan when Ingram had the ball at his feet or if we played it backwards under pressure. I've come to the conclusion he actually prefers to see us lose.

LR has built a promising platform for us to push on from now. After today hopefully he has more faith in more of our **** summer signings starting games so we can try to take the lead before we concede. Unrealistic expectations worry me though. If we don't quickly see the same again vs Cardiff the same sort of supporter is likely going to jump straight back on them again, regardless of the performance.

The younger ones around me are great to be honest. There's definitely a couple of older guys around me that are far too negative though.

My 12 year uses it creatively as I did at that age.

His 8 year old sister asks him to put a picture up in her room. She doesn't like swearing. It's bad.

So as he's hammering she asks him a question - turns round and bludgeons his finger. Proper good black nail and all.

He goes 'ah ****' so she punches him in the ribs and runs to her mam who duly bollocks him for swearing.
Im like 'yeah mate. If the universe is telling you at this age to avoid women and kids then you can save yourself a lot of bullshit' .

    FACT.

The miserable sod behind me was moaning that Tufan chose to cross for the second goal instead of having a shot himself!
