Lavia's legs were gone by 60 mins. He let Bowler walk past him for their goal. He wouldn't have done that in the first half. Can see why Jones has been taking him off at 60 mins every game.
Not really getting the mini meltdown on here. We looked very comfortable first half and the first half of the second. They put a decent move together for their goal then we went to panic stations because we are **** and not used to being in that position (winning a game by 2 to concede one with 20 mins left). They threw everything at us for the last 15 mins or so as you’d expect, yet didn’t really have a chance or a shot I can recall. Yeah we didn’t see the game out as comfortably as maybe we should’ve but it was never really anything other than comfortable overall in the end
We're talking about sport at the most elite level. You don't just recover from an injury and then jump straight back into things. Hamstring is obviously okay, but he isn't fully match fit.
What about the Patino (or Poveda) lob effort when ABK fell over and stopped playing? Biggest chance of the game.
Yeah that was at 1-0 and was bad. Was the entire defence (except Lyanco) switching off as they thought the ball was running out of play. Then because Lyanco went with their player he played Poveda onside. The rest of the defence were just stood in the half way line waiting for our throw
Every time anyone complains on here people call it a meltdown. Calling a **** performance **** is not a meltdown. We struggled to see out a game comfortably after being 2-0 up against a side 23rd in the Championship. That deserves to be called out for the problem it is.
This seemingly is in our DNA, its been around for so long. Teams have peaks an troughs in a game, but the remarkable disparity with Saints, I swear is like no other team. As I've said before it, it's - almost - like seeing a Jack Russell getting hold of the ball in the park, and momentarily looking a bit tasty before trying to **** the thing. With Ralph one element was perhaps to do with his "automations" - defined designated passages of movement and plays downloaded to the players hard-drives - essentially 'crashing,' due to human error, 'compatibly issues' with the opposition, or proving inflexible in key moments. I hope it's not the BsOD with Jones.
Ok maybe not a meltdown, but I wouldn’t say it was a **** performance overall. Professional for 70 mins (bar the brain freeze by our defence for the chip attempt). Then panicky when we conceded
I know it was a win but am I right to say we were ****ing awful. I saw a lot of players that look like they will struggle next season in the Championship. On the other hand is it possible to give Romain Ward-Perraud multiple MOTMs, without him we would have lost that I reckon. Our second LB is our second best finisher in the squad ahead of all of our entire forward line.
Not much in it either way. Both about 5/10. I'm just being harsher on Moi because he's a first teamer, whereas Aribo hasn't played much lately.
