These South American always seem to be fit for their country but rarely Spurs. This game would have been ideal for Richarlison to get some minutes and hopefully goals too.

I get Sessegnon playing because Perisic is needed further up the pitch because of the absence of Richarlison. Sanchez playing because Romero being rested sort of makes sense too.

We're getting bogged down in the centre, which Preston have jammed full. We need to spread the ball wide better - but then we're let down by an ineffective LWB. If only we had an exciting left winger in the bench...
Both WBs could switch teams in this match and you wouldn’t notice the difference, in fact we’d possibly see an improvement.
