Not for those who want to rejoin the EU. They have to persuade others that a corrupt organisation is worth rejoining
Not particularly, no. Shouldn’t it concern you that you continue to be one of the few mugs supporting this shower.
How can you argue to rejoin Europe in the face of endemic corruption by members of its Parliament, that make anything in the UK Parliament look insignificant?
You haven't a clue what's going on in the EU, have you? The fact that MEP's are going home withe millions of euros in suitcases as bribe money from wealthy and corrupt foreign governments. It hasn't made the Socialist Worker, and you're too busy chasing "gammons"
Maybe it’s just not that relevant when we have such issues here with our own corrupt government. Maybe we aren’t in much of a position to point fingers. I don’t need to chase you.
But you want to rejoin the EU, so it's highly relevant. You have no informed view on the EU, but live life tunnel-visioned in your gammon-hunt
By that logic it should be irrelevant to you yet you bang on about the EU and Joe Biden while seemingly oblivious to the country falling apart and corruption on your doorstep on your Party’s watch. I don’t need to hunt you either.
it's relevant to me because uninformed people like you say we should rejoin, with no knowledge of the massive corruption in the EU.
I can’t help but feel if it were more relevant then the countless right wing shills on social media would be shouting about it. It feels a bit like you’re just deflecting from the Tories’ corruption still, to be honest.
They're not shouting about it because Starmer, who looks likely to form the next government, has indicated a return to Brexit or even the Single Market is not on the cards. But critics of Brexit like you need to be able address the massive corruption that is innate in the organisation, and specifically Qatargate.
You haven’t said anything yet to suggest you’re particularly informed on this while continuing to bury your head in the sand over the much more relevant corruption in our own government. Fortunately you’re in a dwindling minority.
This started with you complaining about Brexit. When questioned, however, it's clear you want to talk about anything but the EU you profess to love and want to rejoin. Says a lot.
We are worse off for Brexit, financially and otherwise, according to all credible sources and the government, so I think it’s fair to call it out. I’ve never professed to love it but we are better off in it than out on the evidence thus far. Apparently Brexit will prove to be great eventually though based on nothing but blind hope.
Anyone who still thinks of the EU as the bastion of integrity and the “good guys”……really should listen to The Popular Front podcast episode 171 concerning the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Paints the EU in a very poor light and might open your eyes as to what that organisation is and who it supports….all for the name of business. But I’m guessing the EU cheerleaders here will conveniently ignore it
