Gambled on him being able to fire them up this season. For me given their inconsistencies I can't see them finishing in the playoffs. They lose too many games and with the likes of Boro and WBA now sorting themselves out its going to be a big ask. What a move for the lad btw.
At the moment, they're not our rivals....**** them...lets see what they do. We have our own club, reborn under KLD and heading for the future in the league we are at the minute. Our rivals are not them. As we are, under good management,we're very well heeled to make an impact...as and when we get there,we can think about taking them on.
Not tfr news, but not worth a new thread. Was out coaching this morning and had a Wolves scout down to watch. Was talking afterwards about all things footy and he knew I was Sunderland because of my Vaux bobble hat. Turns out he works at Birmingham too and has worked for Speakman. He couldnt speak highly enough of him, said he was excellent and a great fella. He also said there was talk of Jobe Bellingham coming to us a while ago but not sure why it didnt happen. I think I read that on here at one point anyway, so nowt new. Not that interesting really, now I read it back but was great to hear someone who has worked with Speakman really positive about him.
The rivalry imo is dead. The local news has always been a joke and amazed its still on. As for us, we stand alone, quietly getting on with it. I'm sure when the Nextflix episode comes out we'll be a talking point again, and that can only be a good thing.
Didn’t realise Watford had signed Henrique Araujo on loan from Benfica. Definitely one to watch for the rest of the season, have higher hopes for him than they did Nunez.
I'm not too bothered this season to be honest happy to let the young lads have a go. Unless of course Henderson has had enough of Liverpool and fancies a player coach role.
Just because it was spoke about on here, doesn't make it true. And even if it was true, TM isn't going to want another experienced player to leave
I've still got a feeling we will be busy in the remainder of the window. 3 more in and 2 out (one being Wright)
Can't see a way in for Embleton meself. He'll be a bench warmer unless there's injuries or suspensions.
Geldhart wasn’t given the number 9 so we’re 100% signing another striker whether that’s Simms or someone else.
