They have, but it's not necessarily his ability to play in the National League or League Two that worries me.
Think they both signed summer 2019, but Ingram in pre-season while Elder was on deadline day or close to it.
Whoever ends up here beyond Jan or summer... Does the personnel really matter? All have to show something soon to have a future in our first team. Whether the loanee or the Incumbant. The target or the transfer-listed. Baxter appears gone, whether announced or not, or whether we sign a lb or not in jan, Elder too has a lot to prove to be in contention for a deal. . So let battle commence for rosies affections in the business end of the season.
I think that is purely not unmind players, what he thinks and what he does will be 2 completely different things.
I see Salah M’Hande looks like he’s getting kicked back to Arsenal, our summer recruitment really looks terrible when you see these things happening now with Rosie in charge. It seems he’s got to bring in players who he thinks will work for us, whilst also trying to sort out the clusterfuck that was last summer’s “great” transfer window.
wasn’t all that terrible, a solid 6/10 I’d say. Lessons learned clearly by Acun though and very promising signs with us chasing players like Toffolo (even if he’s not coming)
Oscar and Seri are our best players, without them two we’d be ****ed imo. Pelkas and Christie good business, Tufan and Woods but inconsistent but good business. A 4 seems harsh to me
Wouldn’t even give it a 4, so much money pissed down the pisser. Far too many players brought in with now a much more difficult job to manage and model them into a team.
I would agree a 4/10 is harsh. I would go 6. I think we made some brave signings and Seri is a joy to watch. But we did lose two hugely influential players so I can understand the negativity.
Giving the window a 4 is way over the top, we're on track to comfortably beat our finishing position from last season and we've definitely improved. Some players haven't worked out but some have been crazy good signings. We'll make a net profit on the transfer window too over the next few years so I don't think there's a lot to complain about. A 6 seems about right
The transfer window was a failure Salah - **** Simons - **** Tufan - **** Vale - **** Sinik - **** Traore - **** Woods - **** Pelkas - Fairly **** Seri - Good Oscar - Good Christie - Good Tetteh - Good Allahyar - Good when not injured
I’ll up it to 5, forgot about Christie, Pelkas is an expensive luxury IMO. The fact is, we’ve sacked off at least 3 of the summer signings, ok Sinik’s a loan, but who knows long term? Signing injured players was always a bad idea, then others have picked up bad injuries, again, can’t see that coming, but overall chasing players who could be decent, then thrown in randomly with a dodgy coach who made Cantona’s seagulls speech seem sensible, was not the way to go. But hey, let’s not get drawn out on long boring arguments about what I think & what you think & what everyone else thinks about the past & focus on the future, see how many more of last summer’s transfers are still here at the start of next season.
