    Match Preview;
    Hull sit three places and four points behind us, in 16th with 34 points. So far, this year, they have beaten Wigan, then drawn with Huddersfield Town, and most recently lost to Sheffield United...with a cup loss to Fulham in early January too. Their top scorer is Óscar Estupiñán, who has 12 goals so far this year, and is clearly their main threat as next on their scorers list is Ozan Tufan, with 4 goals. Their problems so far this season have been at the other end of the pitch. Only bottom of the table, Wigan, have conceded more than their 44 goals, which doesn't reflect well on former R's goalie, Matt Ingram, who is their #1. Improving this stat will be key for their manager, Liam Rosenior, who took over at Hull in November 2022 following the sacking of Shota Arveladze at end of September.

    As for us, four draws and a loss in the last five and we are, somehow, only four points away from 6th. A good run could still make for an interesting end to the season, but that run will have to start now. Dykes and Willock continue to lead the scoring chart, with 6 each...followed by Chair and Roberts who now have 4 each. After the Swansea draw, Critchley said he felt we won the ball back and pressed well, and having watched the game, I'd say we did that in parts, but often it took too long to get the ball forward. I know none of us want to see us lump the ball forward; but at the same time, I was frustrated by the constant passes across the back line. Is the problem that they are set up to protect possession, or that there aren't any options available to defenders who are looking to play the ball forward? I'm sure others, particularly those who were there, will be able to give some insight.

    Team News
    QPR: Skipper Stefan Johansen is in line to return for Rangers. There will be a late check on Lyndon Dykes (illness) - but Ethan Laird and Leon Balogun are out through injury.

    Hull: Jacob Greaves and Ryan Longman are injury doubts. Benjamin Tetteh is absent through suspension.

    Pre-match Talk
    Neil Critchley (QPR head coach): "Of my six league games so far, we've lost one but only one won, too.

    "If you look at the four draws, we should have turned some of those results into wins - those extra points would put us where we want to be this season.

    "There is such a fine margin between teams. We're nearly there, but nearly's not good enough and we have to be better."

    Liam Rosenior (Hull head coach): "Neil is a very good coach and QPR are a very good team. They should have won their last game against Swansea and have real attacking threats at the top end of the pitch - Ilias Chair, Chris Willock and Jamal Lowe.

    "Lyndon Dykes is a great target man and Stefan Johansen could return in midfield.

    "So it's not going to be easy - they've been unlucky not to get some of the results they've deserved since Neil's taken the job. It's going to be a difficult test and it's not one we'll underestimate."

    We are a few points off the play offs teams above us will get bad runs. We could be the team to come out of the pack. Keep the faith.

    I like Steff and Field holding, with Tim ahead of them in a 3.
    Lowe and Chair either side of Dykes up top.

    That would be my call too. Willock on the bench again.
    I really hope Armstrong is in the match day squad.

    Got my tickets for this but my lad says he isn't arsed about going which dissapoints me but doesn't surprise me. He says he's already bored by this season and just wants it to be over. It's hard to argue with him. He actually said it would be worth going if we were nearer the relegation spots and we were actually fighting for something.

    Totally agree, luxury player who has loads to learn. We desperately need a captain on the pitch, and for whatever reason that is Stef and he can only replace Tim or Fieldy and that's a no brainer

    He's not gonna drop Roberts now, it's in his loan agreement that he gas to start whenever he's fit I'm sure of it. Kakay set to start with Laird being out, not sure we can accommodate 2 holding midfielders. Timmy has alot of potential but for me he doesn't take command of enough games, he flirts on the peripherey too much. Start with Field and Steff and see how it goes.

    Bit of pre-match flattery from Liam Rosenior, their manager...'Neil Critchley is a very good coach...' Could also be interpreted as a bit of a backhanded compliment. Good coach, not a good manager?

    Off twitter ( so not sure if fully true) , looks as though Dykes has been in hospital with an "illness". ( and some of our idiot fans have taken the opportunity to have a go at his wife).

    I am guessing he might not be fit to play

    I'm not a big user of twitter, but do have an account...just read this on Bianca Austin's account;

    "Being married to a footballer means you have to have thick skin, but getting sent **** when your family is going through hell is just NOT ok. Love you Victoria xxx"

    Just to explain to others... Victoria is Lyndon Dykes wife, and Bianca Austin and her are big friends, they set up that WAGs charity climb to raise money for Lottie, the little girl with cancer.

    We do have some obviously sh*t fans out there
