Very realistic possibility that's the case. At the same time, his wages are quite high by most reports, and Leicester is one of the few clubs that have actually managed to run close to the FFP limits, as hard as that is to accomplish. So the cost/benefit may still favour moving him if it helps them get players in, though I certainly don't know their finances well enough to say whether they do.

If his wages are quite high then we probably won’t be getting him. He’d probably look for a deal that makes him highest earner at the club and I’m not sure we’d do that for him. You could see it for Gakpo or Ramos but not Ihenacho

The plan is to make a massive profit when we sell him! I do get that strategy, but we need to stay in the Premier League. We won't if we don't sign a striker.

I was thinking likely on a loan, rather than a sale. Leicester's wages are quite high in general owing to their past successes (7th by some distance in the most-recent year-end numbers), and given that he moved from Man City I'd be surprised if he wasn't at least matching JWP's wages as-is.

Can’t remember the fee off the top of my head but remember it being high for the time, high fee would tend to mean high wages aswell

For those who don't speak Portugese:

Vitinha: SC Braga this week rejected an offer of 18 M€ from an English club, which, in turn, warned that it would increase the value in the next few hours. The Braga fans continue to ask for a number close to the €30 million termination clause.

Well, at least he is an actual striker. He's also 5ft10in, but still.

I'm fine with a short, fast striker, to go with our short, fast wingers, and our short, fast new playmaker. Having a group that all lend themselves to a certain style would be a change from the Island of Misfit Toys we've had at times.

Sulemana is also on the bench too, Adding to the fire.

Doing a little research he hasn't started much this season.

Ha! Suggested this right at the start of the window. Another LW though?

We do still have the additional loan spot still available. Can’t imagine too many strikers would be available. Maybe a CM though. Chelsea must have a few, what’s Loftus-Cheek up to

Not the type of CM we really need right now. We need a more defensive focused one

Looks like Caicedo is going to force through a move away from Brighton. Brighton are where we were 4 or 5 years ago.

But in an age where they are getting much bigger fees in that we did. And so far they seem to be doing a good job of reinvesting.

I wonder where his impatience is coming from? Have there been many recent high profile examples of a big move being blocked in one window and then that player never getting the option again. I thought Gordon might be one that once Chelsea moved on he would lose that chance - but Newcastle have still given him a huge money move
