Multiple reports suggest we most certainly have not seen the end of the Bentancur and Kulusevski transfers. It's worrying.
We're being linked with Anthony Gordon again. No idea why. Massively over-hyped player. One full PL season at a horrendous team equals £60m? No thanks. Has Tom Davies vibes about him. Remember when he scored that wonder goal against City and everyone swooned, anointing him 'the next Gazza'? That was six years ago. He's still at Everton. Spends most of his time on the bench.
ElBobble who is the well respected Everton ITK has said Anthony Gordon has been speaking to a London club and also with Newcastle. It's well know Spurs have had a big interest in him, IF we are the London club mentioned ( could be chelsea) but if it is us where the hell would he fit into our squad ? Competition for Kulu wide right forward maybe ?
I think he’s good but the price is obscene and he’s probably not a Conte player. Wouldn’t touch him for that money.
It's just as likely to be Chelsea, but there are suggestions that Everton have financial issues...in which case Levy will have found money from somewhere to try to leverage a sale. It's what he does.
I actually wanted Gordon in the summer. Was impressed with him last season but it would be a pointless signing now ( if indeed we are even interested ). After Porro the next signing has to be a CB .
Gordon is absolute horseshit. Please stop lowering standards for new signings, guys. Edit: plus, we’ve already wasted £60m on one Everton player, I’d rather not double that mistake.
Michael Bridge has confirmed we have no interest in Gordon anymore. As I said last summer I wanted him but I'm relieved were not after him now.
Nico Schira says Porro’s done. Bruno Andrade saying it’s imminent. Only taken 26* days. *probably longer.
€11m of the supposed €45m fee will go to City, who won't give a flying ****. Still odd to me that they haven't used their €20m buy-back. There are some rumours that he's pissed at them for their treatment of him, though.
Well it will certainly be longer as he'll be playing in their cup final on the 28th so this will be our Big Deadline Day Announcement and we'll all have to pretend to be really shocked and surprised when the club finally posts it.
Looks like Lyon have told Chelsea to feck off and leave Gusto alone. We should hurry up and get Porro done pronto. Hell hath no fury like a plastic club spurned.
Romano reckons Porro’s contract will be til 2028, not 2027 as had been previously stated. Football (not)Insider also say Brentford are in talks over a loan to buy deal for Spence. It’s probably re-hashed from previous media about Brentford having a loan to buy bid rejected but equally it’s not something I’d be surprised at if it were true. Doubt the player wants to be here and it doesn’t make much sense for Brentford to basically develop one of our players for us. Think he’d do well under Frank, him and Henry in FB/ WB roles would be a good watch.
It is only Football Insider and their track record of getting stuff right is probably 1 in 10 so I wouldn't overly believe it, it's just that it feels plausible if you connect certain dots. If I were Spence I'd want out of the club, even if it's only been six months.
Manchester United could make a £105m bid for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen but the move for the 23-year-old Nigeria forward would likely not come until the summer. (Soccer News - In Dutch) Either Kane signs a new contract…which my gut tells me he will or United will whack a 70/80 mill bid in summer for him imo
Nice reportedly looking to sign Sanchez this month FFS, Sporting are going to want another round of negotiations after hearing that news...
