We got comms from KCom saying our package was going up unless we signed a new 18 month contract where the price would remain the same. No reductions. I'm moving to a cheaper alternative. Currently on a 300mbit connection. For those interested in moving who use a landline, you can transfer the number also.
Yes I got that letter but a 24 month contract, I live in Thorngumbald and the alternate is a **** BT line with fibre to the cabinet 1/4mile away, then copper to the house, the most they guarantee is 50mb, be down to 20mb in reality, nothing still matches lightstream for speed and price.
Mark the date, pick me back up from the floor, Rico in positivity post shocker! The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Just spent an hour on hold listening to a young lass talking like she can't read the script properly, talking like a robot but done a new contract for two years, **** BT.
Well, my Kcom price increase letter has arrived today, increase of £3.00 from 1/3/2023 but I can avoid this if I sign a new 2 year contract. **** that for a game of soldiers, as they are offering the same package I am on now to new subscribers for £10 less. Out of contract in 30 days and hopefully the MS3 fibre network will be live very shortly.
Most complained-about broadband, TV and phone firms revealed: As Ofcom tells one to 'get a grip' is your provider one of the worst offenders? https://www.msn.com/en-gb/money/tec...pc=U531&cvid=eae41b596f314c139bae2adfc6db2907
That always happens with new subscribers, same with Sky, you probably will get a good deal when you move, beware your hitting same speeds etc, cos I’ve heard that the MS3 network ain’t all that
I’ve put about 20 postcodes in and around Hull and it appears that no where is up and running yet, anyone got MS3?
It is definitely up and running around Norland Avenue/Anlaby High road area, as a mate of mine has had a few leaflets through his door and canvassers round. Try HU4 7SU that is for Norland Avenue.
Reading that, it looks like they let internet providers use their lines, people might slag off KCom, but I’ve never had a problem with lightstream, they’ve updated my routers twice, I can ring on a local call and get great tech assistance, BT were shocking, still are, beware of these new suppliers, they will struggle to match KCom on customer service and that means a lot
MS3 networks are installing the fibre network, they then sell wholesale data packages to Internet Service Providers (ISPs) who will then re-sell Fibre packages to the home / business broadband customers. I just hope that a big name company signs up with MS3 to use their network.
A bit like BT then who sell line space to Sky, plusnet etc, fraught with problems, who do you ring when you have a problem? MS3 or some company with an office in Asia, be cheap for a couple of years I suppose.
