I genuinely enjoyed the first season under Bruce. Especially when Jelavic and Long came in

No, you have a very selective memory. We went up despite only scoring 61 goals over the 46 games, under Rosenior we're almost averaging the same amount of goals scored yet your calling it boring

That was the 2nd! Great season though

The first year we had Proschwitz, Simpson, McLean up front and then Gedo and Boyd came in Jan

We played some brilliant attacking football with Koren and Quinn running riot
    And no good centre forward
So I forget nothing silly ****

mind you’d probably convert Koren into a tight back thick ****

Chazz, you calling anyone a thick **** is funny. I've never seen you make any reasoned point on this board, I haven't even seen you type out a sentence so it's readable. Did they not teach you how to write? All you respond to people is by calling them ****s, I assume because you can't think of any response.

Back to my point, only 9 teams in the league scored less than us and the highest finished 13th. Nobody is saying we didn't have good players but we weren't an entertaining side to watch.

The one I forgot was Slutsky, whilst we couldn't defend for ****, the attacking play was entertaining.

Don't disgaree, but the average football supporter needs something to excite them and playing the ball across the pitch from side to side without trying to play through the lines will not generate sufficient interest to get them excited and show their support in a more positive way. I don't mind watching us playing the way we do to a certain extent but it is a tad boring at times. People want to see the ball going forward. Saturday will be interesting as they can play it around

Well fair enough. I’m just saying that’s not my experience, I’m really enjoying it under Rosenior. Which isn’t to say that some of the teams we play aren’t coming with a defensive mentality and suppressing our play. That’s allowed too.

You’re equating scoring goals as the only thing about attacking football
To try and prove your ****ed up points
We played attacking football and controlled the midfield
    Is that better
I doubt you were even going back then

If you want an atmosphere at home, you must create some excitement. Over the last few games at the MKM we are mustering 2 or 3 shots on target per game. We bring our centre halve up for corners and free kicks, either fail to clear the first man or **** about and give it to Ingram without a cross coming in. If you don't shoot, you wont score. I don't give a **** about the type of tactics, its getting that the hour wait to exit the car park is better than the football, at least its warm. Acun has done a great job getting bums on seats, the level of excitement at the football will get bums off seats.

I do think we’ve got a job to do to lift the players too
Chicken & egg of course, but sitting and waiting to be entertained, and grumbling every time a player puts a foot wrong doesn’t create an atmosphere that helps us

If controlling the midfield is an important metric then you should be happy at the moment.

Reality is, no one likes not scoring enough or not winning enough. Whether we pass it or lump it or something in between, it's disappointing (some will say boring) when it doesn't work and it's exciting and satisfying when it does work. We just have to get to a point where it works more often. We will get there in time I'm sure, but in the meantime we might as well just support the team as much as possible to help them along, instead of getting mad and thinking up tactical explanations for our frustrations.

Beat me to it (no, not a pun on 'eggs').
In this respect, I wish we were more like a Palace, Leeds, .......

    Fuxk me
Is it really so difficult for you expert afficionadas to see the crowd is quiet cos it’s boring to watch
We start chasing the game last twenty five the fans are up and it’s great to watch

I can fully understand us playing Man U etc and being negative time wasters slowing the game down etc
But we have some really excellent players who can take the game to the opposition and beat them but we don’t do that until we have to

Not sure what you're really suggesting. Seems like you're saying we sit back and waste time but clearly that's not true.

I think you just need to have something to moan about because that's the stall you've set out.

I think football in general needs some rule changes to make it more entertaining.

Perhaps anyone scoring with a header should have to play the rest of the game with a giant foam head on. A two footed challenge is punished by having to play the rest of the game with their laces tied together, and scoring from a volley means the player has to have one leg tied to the player that assisted ala three legged race.

I'm sure an egg and a spoon can be accommodated somewhere, but that's just a few thoughts for starters.

We spend the best part of an hour passing the ball mainly between our goalie, back 4 and 2 wingers achieving precisely nothing, boring everyone in the crowd to death, whilst conceding a stupid goal from **** defending. Then, at the death, we decide to play faster, with more intensity and mixing it up more, and, bugger me, we actually score, the crowd are excited entertained and make some noise. Can you explain why we insist on boring the crap out of people with a plan that doesn't, hasn't and isn't likely to work. Why don't we start with some intensity and play with pace BEFORE we concede.
