-> "Think the tactical shouting refers to the "gerrit forward" lot."

    Yep. That sort of stuff.
"gerr it down" when there's more than 1 header in succession (like as if they choose / want to play head tennis for a laugh).
Last game I was there the nearby idiot I had the pleasure of enduring constantly shouted 'hit the byline' whenever we attacked. And I mean every time. **** knows what he was on about. What I do know was we scored from cutting in. I've been known to turn round and suggest they shut the **** up, but I've given up now as they are always there, popping up like those wack a mole things.

But yes, Seri probably is also talking about the collective groans & boos. Sometimes understandable (like when we were overdoing it) but totally unhelpful, sometimes just plain dumb when we are trying to play quality football.

    Positive non judgemental noise please

I think Seri has a point, but it’s more the miserable moaning if something goes wrong that I think affects the team

It's currently very popular to call our style of play "boring" but I find it very hard to accept that we were more entertaining in those last few weeks under Shota. We were ****e and lost every week, now we aren't and don't and we're climbing the table.

I think there comes a point between shouting words & booing at half time/full time. People seem to think because we’re passing it from the back, we’re suddenly Man City & Oscar’s suddenly Haaland, with Seri becoming KDB.
Simple answer, we’re not, they’re not.
Having said that, Man City fans have started booing their players when they’re not ahead at half time, so I really have no idea what people who watch football want, other than instant success.
Yes they want to see players having shots, running at the opposition & not passing it back to Ingram from a corner or direct free kick, but they also need to realise there’s another team there who’s trying to stop us from having shots & running at them.
Perhaps if people want to see Hull City score for fun & win every single game they should tell Acun to sell tickets to the team training!

That spell against Luton, Stoke and Swansea was by far some of the least organised football I have ever seen

Considering the awful home results then especially around me in E10 the fans have been pretty good, I go and shout and encourage, I’m also very biased but to me that’s all about playing at home. We do get periods in games when the team attack a number of times when the volume increases but likewise when nothing is happening it’s quiet. Games need shots and a bit of excitement and that’s when you find the crowd getting behind the team more but whist players are passing it around in their own half then it will be quiet. At our last home game a couple of blokes in front of me we’re moaning how quiet it was yet they wasn’t singing and I wonder how many more are like that. Don’t moan, encourage and sing and hopefully the team will respond.

Plus it’s rubbish to say it’s boring anyway. We play some great passing stuff at times, and when we do cycle it through the back four we do it quickly and with purpose.

Professional football isn't played using the same tactics used by school teams in the 1970s. A few around me at home games seem not to realise this.

In fairness they just need one game where they score first I think at home. Every game we've had to chase and it is admittedly a frustrating watch

We play the exact same way away from home yet the fans never stop singing. I was at the wigan game and the away end didn't stop singing, not when they equalized and we created next to **** all for nearly 80 mins

I def think longman gets affected by the groans
He is more apprehensive about trying things to risk groans at home

And its been obvious for ahwile
At home they feel they have to rush progressing the ball

But some players need to lead them on the pitch
You cant control what fans do
You control how you play and respond

The first half against Huddersfield was the most slow, boring, abject, pathetic rubbish I have ever seen City serve up in 50 years of watching. Yes they have played ****e before, but with more purpose and direction. I would rather watch chess and if they carry on playing like that, I will.

If we had 14 seasons in the top flight with 2 6th places, and a 7th 8th and 9th amongst them with an FA Cup win thrown in I am sure that quite a few would be happy with it.

Wouldn't be surprised if he'd had more groans directed at him personally. Bit harsh on a young bloke at this stage of his career.

People talk about playing good football as if we're used to it. Shota's style was a horrendous watch, Grant's was a struggle too, even the 1st year we went up under Bruce the football wasn't great. The away performances at that time were awful to watch but we won games through late smash and grabs.

The last time we had decent football was under Brownie, but the Championship has changed and that style doesn't work any more
