However, Ferguson quashed this and said "There is nothing to report there at all,". So what is happening? I think he will sign in the summer and possibly the rumors have got out of hand. Its probably a case of negotiation.

How has he shown lack of interest? he has been passionate as ever. Just his form has dipped, you can see his passion when we score and his celebrations and his speeches before games. His poor world cup has really damaged him and salt has been rubbed in his wound with French officials calling him a disgrace and that he should never play for France again. I think he should just retire.
So you're saying, the world cup has effected him? He's strongly been linked with Real Madrid, you'll easily recognise a player who wishes to play for a club for the rest of their career. Evra's face doesn't show that at all, it's clearly the opposite with him.
How and prove this. Real showed interest with Vidic and rumors where going around he faked a injury. There has been no approach by Real and I doubt they would pay 10m or more for 29 year old coming 30 year old player. They have marcelo who has been class for them and is 8 years younger. His form dipped after the world cup but he has always talked us up in a passionate way. I think he will sign a new deal very soon. If Evra was 25 then it would be different but he is getting older now.
Evra is a brilliant player. And has been very good since a poor start to the season. I love the guy. If he has signed then I'm delighted.
