As we have evolved this board over the decades we have tried different ways of doing stuff. At this point, we have 3 different strains of thread, with “winner stays on” being the general rule in both cups and the PL.

For me, this is a single tie over two legs, and logic dictates, to me, that the two games are part of that tie. We haven’t been knocked out of the Carabao Cup, so logic dictates that we should either stay with the same thread or have Badger start another.

I genuinely don’t mind. If someone else wants a crack then let them do it

I’m happy for @MorgansBitOnTheSchneid to do it.
Might bring a change of luck.
If we prevail I will still take credit for getting a semi. :bandit:

Or like 2017, you start one and he does and we merge them. Not that we are superstitious.

What happened to Sims? He was an exciting little player at the time.

    A strange one for sure

Got a nasty injury under Pellegrino, went out on loan under Hughes but did **** all. Briefly came back under Ralph and looked good but then had a weird couples of loans to New York where he couldn't really get a rhythm with their weird season times.

Then covid hit, a couple more loans before he suffered nastily with it including heart problems and spent a long time out recovering. Now at Ross County but no idea how he's doing there.

They’re a far better team than us, as evidenced by the fact they’re in third and we’re rock bottom. But wow, with a bit of money their fans haven’t half turned into a bunch of arrogant sods (online, I know, but still).

Fortunately I’ve watched football long enough to know that an early goal for us, and anything can happen.

It was surprising to hear the BBC discussing the EFL CUP Final between Manchester United and Newcastle. I thought there were still games to be played.

I've changed my mind on this, think scoring too early might wake them up.

Our best chance is complacency on their part. Need it to be a **** game that's heading to a dull 0-0 with them going through the motions when we suddenly get a goal from nowhere and they struggle to change their mentality.

DCC to score the winning penalty and celebrate by dropkicking Murphy to the jaw.

Something else that needs to be added to Murphy waving at DCC, Sky’s biased coverage and Geordie fans booking hotels for the final, before the first leg (although I understand the last bit because they can cancel when we beat them) when Jones gives his team talk on Tuesday.
It should start with “Everyone thinks you are ****. The whole of the media doesn’t think you are worthy of a place in the final. Murphy disrespected DCC when he was sent off. What are you going to do about it? Lay down or fight back?”
The Welsh are known to be passionate speakers. Let’s see what Jones has in his locker.

I would if someone hadn't dubbed that song on there <grr>

Was behind the goal to the right that night, bang in line with Shane when he shot. Still can't believe he made the net bulge.

Maybe Che can have his moment next week where he surprises us with an excellent finish.

    No I haven't been drinking <laugh>

Glad I'm not the only one who prefers it without the titanic music too. Sadly the other clip.isn't on YouTube anymore.

I’m more confident going into a single 90-minute duel with a 1-0 deficit, than I was when facing two games against them. Weird.

Just need a free kick in JWP range.
