Pretty underwhelming. Cheap, but underwhelming. Long gone are the days of signing players to improve the first XI, still, exciting to see our championship team starting to assemble.
Pretty tough to do for 750k. When I saw this deal I thought "well, at that price not even any Saints fans can moan too much" but clearly I was wrong The transfer fee is f*ck all, wages will be low, he is a known quantity to NJ and will add depth. This deal has no impact on any other potential transfers and won't affect our budget for a striker. I have criticised SR a fair bit regarding their transfer policy but I think its important we don't fall into the typical football fan mindset of moaning about everything because we are struggling in the league.
I'd prefer some "depth" in our striking department but what do I know. SR and NJ with their finger on the pulse again. We're so lucky to have these football geniuses in charge. I'd be very surprised if we stay in the relegation zone due to this huge huge signing.
Doesn't Bree usually play RCB in a three at the back for Luton? I think this is a reasonably good signing, but mainly because he should be useful if we go down...
Now they were fun!! QPR as well I recall? Some of the modern goal celebration activity might be a bit painful on that stuff.
No brainer signing for me, doesn't impact on anything else but adds a known entity into the squad. Backup option. I find it amusing that for a transfer to be deemed acceptable it must be either in the tens of millions or free. Nowadays, clubs even pay millions just to loan a player!
