Luka modric - what's all the fuss about?

Luka Modric - 100 PL games, 10 Goals, 13 Assists. Abou Diaby - 108 PL games, 14 Goals, 10 Assists

Thomas Vermaelen is only 3 PL goals behind Luka Modric despite playing 40 games compared to Modric's 100.

He is completely average at best.

Not sure if serious, but anyway its not really his job to create although granted he could do better in that area. Modric sets the tempo for them and plays a lot deeper and does the job in the middle of the park. If he was played in the point of a 3 man midfield and still had those stats then you have a case but he does not. This is a player that is in the thick of the midfield battle and he is a massive player for them. If you can't pin him down then their passing gets quicker and the ball gets released early to Lennon,Bale,VDV and the forward.

 

This is not as nice as the one yesterday, but it isn't bad, the spurs lads are a tough bunch, they will spark a nice debate and not start crying.

 

Did you work out what 'pull the other one' means?

'Pull the other one' isn't particular to not606, it's generally acknowledged to be a widely understood idiom to denote that somone believes that you are not telling the truth.

As in 'I didn't write this thread to wum the spuds' - I would answer 'Pull the other one'

 

I think most Gooners recognise that Modric is a class act.
Wenger was interested in bringing him to Arsenal before Spurs signed him.
