Now KCOM have reached sunny Hornsea I've just signed up to their Full Fibre 175, and it's saving me £15 per month on what I was paying BT for a 25 Mbps slower speed. Buy local and all that huh? No probs so far but some of you lot are worrying me with your comments.

Pfttt, even a technophobe like me has a voice enabled television. That reminds me Steverico, aka gadgetman, had one of the first voice enabled mobile phones, it didn't last long when he spoke to it multiple times and it didn't understand his accent, loud Anglo-Saxon words followed! I have a voice activated TV. Just makes you feel a bit of a tool talking to it. Saw an advert for mine the other day saying it was useful to have Alexa to ask it difficult questions. The example they gave was asking it the square root of 64. FFS!
With KCOM, Hull and Bev have some of the best Fibre to the Premise/Home of anywhere in Europe. FACT. I used to work for them and unlike many other providers they predominantly employ in the local area which means your money stays predominantly in the area. I accept they’re now owned by an Aussie bank, but you can’t have everything.
