My thoughts also Bamford should have been on at start of 2nd half giving him 45 mins and so should other subs
I realise what your saying it's true , but when you have a player of Bamford experience and goal scoring record which was 1 goal every 2.5 games sat on the bench and needing a win its obvious he should be on for the whole 2nd half.
Exactly that's why they say a top class striker should be 1 goal in 2 matches so if you have 2 forward strikers as in a 4-4-2 the other striker if he scores 1 goal in 2 games then you should get a goal each game from 1 of the 2 strikers.
So based on that theory, if we field four strikers at the same time we should be guaranteed two goals per game Maybe we need to just field a team of strikers
I think Steve McLaren was known to try that strategy. Never seemed to work. No idea why. But your suggestion is patently ridiculous Eire. We are conceding at 2 goals per game so we need 3 goals per game to win. By that reckoning we need 6 world class strikers on the pitch. A 226 formation should do the trick. But an entire team of strikers? That’s just crazy.
Don't we usually try to play 2-2-6? Only we seem to deviate to 1-0-9 on a regular basis (resulting in losing yet another goal).
