now that it's an offence in scotland not to be a celtic fan this stupidity will only get worse. just as black people in england now play the racist card every chance they get to start trouble for folk they don't like, so it's now the same in scotland with catholics. since they know the law now discriminates against non catholics, they invent sectarian "crimes" even when there aren't any. unfortunately the law is only too happy to prosecute just to prove how much they are not anti catholic. civil rights disappearing fast up there.
On the story, the boy pleaded not guilty. Case to be heard in February. For what it is worth, I think the point has been missed here a bit. He has been charged with sectarian breach of the peace. He is either guilty of that offence, or he is not. His right to hold anti-whatever views is not eroded. It is irrelevant to the charge.
I think it's you who has missed the point. If I move to Scotland, I am going to have to sell off my treasured record collection and wipe my hard drives.
