Does anyone else think it might be worth shifting Longstaff and Bruno around? Let Longstaff sit more, give Bruno more freedom?
I think if Bruno had the chances Longstaff has had in the last 4-5 games our goal difference would have been a lot better
Morning lads. Thought I'd come over now while I still have the ability to be sensible (that'll be gone by tonight!) Really looking forward to this and expecting a close game tonight to set it up nicely for next week. Let's hope the best team wins* and it's not settled by a controversial decision**. Looking forward to visiting your gaff next week. My previous visit there was only 40k there and they sat in silence pretty much all game, expecting a completely different kettle of fish this time! Seeing as you lot are destined to win loads in coming years may as well let us have this one eh? *unless you're the best team **unless it's in our favour
Looking forward to a cracking game, but also nervous given our lack of goals recently. But I do 100% agree with your caveats, i.e. *unless you're the best team **unless it's in our favour
Absolutely not. Bruno needs the extra time that sitting slightly deeper gives, to look up and play passes. Longstaff generally doesn't play a pass of more than 15-20yds.
Eddie might be tempted to try spring a surprise but I'd be amazed if he changes much tbh. Could see Wilson up top with Isak on the wing. Back 5 picks itself but I'd be tempted to go with a front 3 of ASM - Wilson - Isak and then midfield 3 of dealers choice Joelinton, Willock, Bruno and Longstaff.
Come on Ahworth, today is the day to put big bids in for Ward-Prowse and Che Adams, just as they are preparing for the semi.
Unless there are any new injuries/illness, I imagine Eddie will probably keep the same starting 11 and use Isak & Maxi from the bench. Seems to be the current formula.
Yeah I get that but we are looking a little toothless up top at present only 1 goal in 4 games and I'd suggest ASM and Isak are a much bigger goal threat than Joelinton/Willock and Almiron on the otherside. Also an opportunity to get those two up and running while also resting a couple although we do have a weekend off this week with the FA cup games taking place.
Was offered a free ticket last night. Had to turn it down when it turned out it was for corporate hospitality with Saints STAFF!!!
